On April 29, 2022, the Metro Vancouver Regional District (MVRD) Board of Directors authorized the following information to be released to the public following completion of any conditions:
• Cape Roger Curtis – New Regional Park – Authorization for Purchase of 24 parcels on Cape Drive, Georgia Strait Drive, and Huszar Creek Lane, Bowen IslandMunicipality
That the MVRD Board approve the inclusion of the 24 parcels located on Cape Drive, Georgia Strait Drive, and Huszar Creek Lane, in Bowen Island Municipality, (Parcel Identifiers: listed in Attachment 1 to the report dated March 21, 2022 titled, “Cape Roger Curtis - New Regional Park- Authorization for Purchase of 24 parcels on Cape Drive, Georgia Strait Drive and Huszar Creek Lane, Bowen Island Municipality”) (collectively, the “Property”) as high priority properties in the catalogue of park land acquisition prospects in the board-approved Regional Parks Land Acquisition 2050 strategy.

• Highway 99 Tunnel Program Update
That the MVRD Board authorize the Board Chair to write to the provincial Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure encouraging the Province to expedite the Environmental Assessment process and construction timeline for the Fraser River tunnel project, to work with the City of Delta and City of Richmond for active transportation connections to the Fraser River Tunnel, and to develop a provincial policy on autonomous vehicles, including autonomous rapid buses, before the completion of the Fraser River Tunnel project.
