A Cordial Welcome to all who are with us today, including those in this online streamed or archived fashion! Our faith calls us to be an inclusive community welcoming and affirming people of all cultures, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

Lutherans believe and trust that Christ is truly present in the sacraments to heal our brokenness and empower our lives. God extends the invitation to all to commune at this table. Persons wishing to inquire about baptism and participation in the life of this congregation are encouraged to speak with a pastor.

Bread for holy communion is freshly baked weekly by Betty Bowers and Linda Marx who also thoroughly cleaned the church kitchen and all items used in the bread preparation to ensure it is safe for all worshipers. The ingredients are: Gluten Free Bob’s Red Mill (bean mixture) flour, Gluten Free oats, pulverized, Baking powder, salt, Xanthan gum, Oat creamer, Seltzer water,, Pearland Wildflower honey, California olive oil.

Worshipers are invited to come to the altar at the direction of the usher to receive

communion. The pastors will place bread in their hand and will be followed by an assisting minister who will offer the individual glass of wine to each person. When a person receives only bread or only wine, church tradition teaches that the person has communed fully.

Children are welcome to commune. Persons participating in this worship by livestream are invited to have bread and wine ready at your table to share in communion with all the saints.

Health and Safety Protocol at Christ the King

To protect the most vulnerable among us, the following have been put in place:

1. Masks are required at all times indoors at Christ the King Church.

2. We ask everyone to social distance inside and outside of the church.

3. All greetings after worship will be in the courtyard to avoid crowding and promote

social distancing.

Bienvenidos a todos ustedes que se ha acudido a celebrar la Misa con nosotros hoy,

especialmente a todos ustedes que nos ven en transmisión. ¡Nuestra iglesia acepta a todos y considera la diversidad de culturas, razas, orientaciones sexuales y expresiones de genero como bendición de Dios mismo! No hay que cambiar tu identidad, orientación u genero para ser aceptado aquí. Todos somos uno en Cristo.

La Iglesia Luterana afirma y confía que recibimos el cuerpo y sangre de Cristo por medio de los sacramentos para sanar nuestros dolores espirituales y empoderarnos para la vida cotidiana. La Pan para la Misa este horneado semanal por Betty Bowers y Linda Marx, quien han de seguir procedimientos para la limpieza de cocinas y para la preparación de ingredientes de hornear. Los ingredientes son: avena sin gluten, bicarbonato de sodio, goma xantana, cremora de avena, agua mineral, miel de flor salvaje (Producto de Pearland), y aceite de olivo (California).

Para comulgar, uno debe ir al altar, a la dirección de un acomodador. Los pastores te darán la hostia en tu mano y luego un ministro eucarístico te ofrecerá el vino. Nuestra iglesia ensena que, al comulgar solamente el pan u el vino, uno has comulgado adecuadamente.

Niños y bebes están invitados a comulgar, con el permiso del pariente. Los que nos ven en transmisión, están invitados a comulgar en casa con todos los santos de todo lugar y tiempo. Debes tener pan y vino listo para el tiempo señalado.

Pr. Sergio Rodriguez en memoria de su primo Jonathan, tío Daniel y amiga, Revda. Enedina Vasquez quien fallecieron durante la pandemia.

Protocolos de salud y seguridad en la parroquia Cristo Rey.

Para el bienestar de los mas vulnerables, hemos decidido a:

1. Obligar el uso de la mascarilla al dentro del edificio de la parroquia Cristo Rey.

2. Distanciamiento social a dentro y en el patio de la parroquia Cristo Rey.

3. Saludarnos en el patio después de la misa para promover el distanciamiento social y

reducir incidentes de congestionamiento de personas a dentro.

Los primeros relatos históricos de la Misa relatan el recogimiento de ofrenda u limosna después de la Eucharistia, designado a los pobres y extranjeros en el ambiente por aquellos capacitados de tales dones. En dar gracias a Dios por medio de su generosidad se dicen que son

capaces de imitar la generosidad de Cristo a los desafortunados.

El acomodador recibirá la limosna a la salida de la parroquia.

La ofrenda acudida durante el mes de Octubre a la República Centroafricana fue $2,842.00.
