ADVERTENCIA

- Lea y entienda las siguientes indicaciones de advertencia así como demás instrucciones antes del uso de este soporte.

- No exceda la capacidad máxima.

- Úselo solamente sobre superficies duras y llanas capaces de soportar el total de la carga.

- Bloquee el mecanismo de la placa de apoyo de rotación antes de aplicar carga sobre el soporte.

- Asegúrese que el motor se apoya de manera centrada y segura sobre la placa de apoyo antes de aplicar la carga a soportar.

- Libere lenta y cuidadosamente el bloqueo de la parte rotacional.

- No intente mover el soporte de motor a través de suelos agrietados u otros obstáculos que impi- dan un movimiento fluido y seguro.

- Nunca trabaje directamente bajo soportes de carga.

- Realice una inspección visual en busca de posibles daños antes del uso del soporte. Inspeccione posibles golpes, roturas, grietas, holguras o posibles faltas de material.

- No realice modificaciones a este producto.

- No seguir estas instrucciones debidamente puede ocasionar tanto daños personales como da- ños al soporte o a los materiales a ser soportados.

DESCRIPCIÓN

Este soporte de motor es un instrumento usado para el apoyo de los motores de automóvil cuando estos son extraídos del vehículo. Este instrumento ha sido diseñado para facilitar el acceso a los diferentes componentes del motor cuando éstos requieren de servicios de mantenimiento o reparación. El soporte incluye un plato de apoyo giratorio con fijación, para facilitar un fácil acceso a cualquier punto del motor. El soporte incluye ruedas para facilitar el movimiento del soporte sobre superficies llanas.

RESPONSABILIDAD DEL USUARIO

El usuario de este producto debe poseer un completo conocimiento de todas las advertencias e instrucciones, incluyendo instrucciones de mantenimiento e inspección, señaladas en este manual así como en la etiqueta incorporada en el producto.

El usuario de este producto será responsable del estudio y mantenimiento de este manual, de la etiqueta incorporada en el soporte así como del producto para futuros usos.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE

1. Ensamble el mástil (1) con el soporte trasero (2) usando dos tornillos (5), dos tornillos (6), tuercas (7), arandelas de seguridad (8) y arandelas planas (9).

2. Ensamble el elemento cruzado (3) con el soporte delantero usando dos tornillos (5), dos tornillos (6), tuercas (7), arandelas de seguridad (8) y arandelas planas (9).

3. Ensamble las ruedas (14) al soporte trasero (2) usando los tornillos (15) y tuercas (16), arandelas de seguridad (17) y arandelas planas (18).

4. Ensamble la rueda central (22) al cuerpo del mástil (1) usando tuercas (20) y arandelas de seguridad (21).

5. Ensamble las ruedas de bloqueo (19) al soporte delantero (4) usando tuercas (20) y arandelas de seguridad (21).

6. Ensamble los soportes delanteros y traseros (3,4) al cuerpo del mástil (1) usando tornillos (10) y tuercas (11), arandelas de seguridad (12) y arandelas planas (13).

7. Inserte el plato (25) en el hueco de la parte superior del mástil (1) fijándolo con el pasador de seguridad (28).

8. Ensamble los adaptadores de montaje al plato usando tornillos (27) y tuercas (7), arandelas de seguridad (8) y arandelas planas (9).

9. Apriete firmemente todos los elementos de fijación y las tapas laterales (32) en los extremos de los soportes (2,3).

OPERACIÓN

Antes de aplicar carga, bloquee el mecanismo de rotación del plato. Usando un montacargas, fije el motor al plato. Deslice los elementos de fijación a través de las guías hasta una posición adecuada para sostener el motor. Fije los elementos de fijación con los tornillos en la posición deseada. Asegúrese de que el motor quede centrado y recto en el plato. Después de asegurarse de que todos los elementos de fijación quedan correctamente fijados y apretados, lentamente retire el montacargas transfiriendo toda la carga del motor al soporte. Para retirar el motor del soporte, primero fije el motor al montacargas. Posteriormente, afloje los tornillos de fijación liberando el motor.

MANTENIMIENTO

Mantenga su soporte limpio y bien lubricado. Lubrique todos los ejes de las ruedas con aceite de motor o símil y el cojinete giratorio una vez al año o cuando sea necesario.

Aplique también, una fina capa de grasa al mecanismo del plato giratorio si fuera necesario al menos una vez al año.

NOTAS

¡IMPORTANTE!

El fabricante no se responsabiliza de los daños o mal funcionamiento de la máquina en caso de que no se use correctamente o se haya utilizado para trabajos para los que no está diseñada.

GARANTÍA

El fabricante garantiza al comprador de ésta máquina la garantía total durante 12 meses de las piezas con defectos de fabricación.

Esta garantía no cubre aquellas piezas que por su uso normal tienen un desgaste.

Nota: para obtener la validez de la garantía, es absolutamente imprescindible que complete y remita al fabricante el documento de “CERTIFICADO DE GARANTIA”, dentro de los siete dias a partir de la fecha de compra.

This engine stand is a device used to mount an automotive type engine when removed from a vehicle. This device is designed to provide access to the engine for servicing and/or rebuilding. The stand incorporates a locking, rotating Mounting Plate so that the user can turn the engine f r ease of access. The stand also incorporates wheels and castors to allow mobility afcross a smooth, flat surface.

OWNER/OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY

The owner and/or operator of this product must have a complete understanding of all wamings and instructions including inspection and maintenance procedures contained in this manual and on the product label before using this product. Anyone involved in the use and/or operation of this device must be careful, competent, and qualified in its safe operation and use.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Assemble mast (1) to rear leg (2) using two bolts (5), two bolts (6) and nuts (7) and lock washers (8) and flat washers (9) as shown.

2. Assemble the cross member (3) to the front leg using two bolts (5), two bolts (6) and nuts (7), lock washers (8) and flat washers (9) as shown.

3. Assemble wheels (14) to rear leg (2) using shoulder bolts (15) and nuts (16) lock washers (17) and flat washers (18) as shown.

4. Mount the middle caster (22) to the mast assembly (1) using nut (20) and lock washer (21) as shown.

5. Assemble locking casters (19) to front leg (4) using nuts (20) and lock washers (21).

6. Assemble crossmember assembly (3,4) to the mast assembly (1) using the shoulder bolt (10) and nut (11), lock washer (12) and flat washer (13) as shown.

7. Insert head (25) into housing at top of mast (1). fasten using the locking pin (28).

8. Assemble mounting adaptors to the head using bolts (27) and nuts (7) lock washers (8) and flat washers (9) as shown.

9. Tighten all fasteners and place caps (32) into the leg ends as shown.

OPERATION

Before applying load, lock mounting plate rotating mechanism. Using a hoist, suspend the engine at a level with the mounting plate. With the mounting arms loose from the mounting plate (but not removed) bolt the mounting arms to the rear of the engine using the bell housing mounting bolts (bolts not supplied). Make sure the engine is centered and straight on the mounting plate, then tighten the mounting arms to the engine, and the mounting anns to t.he mounting plate. After making sure all connections are tight, SLOWLY lower the hoist, transferring load to the stand. To remove an engine from the stand, first attach the hoist to the engine using a sling or similar device.

After the hoist and sling are secure to the engine, raise the hoist, taking the load off of the stand.

The mounting bolts can be removed freeing the stand from the engine.

MAINTENANCE

Keep your stand clean and well lubricated. Lubricate all wheel axles with motor oil or light machine oil and grease the caster swivel bearings once a year or as necessary.

Also applya thin coat of grease to the mounting plate rotating mechanism as necessary, but at least once a year.
