As we con nue to celebrate this great season of Easter, it is wonderful to see all the signs of new life around us with the trees flowering, and plants and bushes filled with buds, reminding us of God’s love for us.
Next Sunday, April 25th is World Day of Prayer for Voca ons. Our Sacred Heart Society, established to promote voca ons, began in January of 2020 and our first ac vity was to take place in April 2020. Covid-19 entered our lives and we shut down and our plans were put on hold. Next Sunday we will con nue where we le off. A er the 2:00 Mass we will have Adora on of the Blessed Sacrament un l 6:00. This will be a me to come and pray for voca ons. I encourage you all to try and come and spend some quiet me in prayer praying for voca ons. A special reminder to those we met with in February 2020 as part of the new Sa- cred Heart Society.
As the sheep are known by the Good Shepherd, the Father knows Jesus and Jesus knows the Father. There is an essen al unity between the Father and the Son. The free- dom with which Jesus acts when he lays down his life is rooted in the unity that he shares with his Father. YOU are part of that union

Mientras con nuamos celebrando esta gran tempo- rada de Pascua, es maravilloso ver todos los signos de nueva vida a nuestro alrededor con los árboles floreciendo y las plan- tas y arbustos llenos de capullos, recordándonos el amor de Dios por nosotros.
El próximo domingo 25 de abril es la Jornada Mundial de Oración por las Vocaciones. Nuestra Sociedad del Sagrado Corazón, establecida para promover las vocaciones, comenzó en enero de 2020 y nuestra primera ac vidad iba a tener lugar en abril. Covid-19 entró en nuestras vidas y cerramos y nues- tros planes quedaron en suspenso. El próximo domingo con - nuaremos donde lo dejamos. Después de la Misa de las 2:00, tendremos la Adoración del San simo Sacramento hasta las 6:00. Este será un momento para venir y orar por las vocacio- nes. Los animo a todos a que traten de venir y pasar un rato de tranquilidad en oración orando por las vocaciones. Un recorda- torio especial para aquellos con los que nos reunimos en abril de 2020 como parte de la nueva Sociedad del Sagrado Cora- zón.
Como las ovejas son conocidas por el Buen Pastor, el Padre conoce a Jesús y Jesús conoce al Padre. Existe una uni- dad esencial entre el Padre y el Hijo. La libertad con la que Je- sús actúa cuando da la vida ene sus raíces en la unidad que comparte con su Padre. TÚ eres parte de esa unión.

NOTES FROM THE PASTOR
Confesiones en la Iglesia de San Francisco de Asis Durante los tiempos de oración privada (3PM-6PM), los frailes estarán disponibles para escuchar confesio-
nes. Esto tendrá lugar en el narthex/vestíbulo de la Iglesia.
Las confesiones serán cara a cara, se usarán máscaras y, si es una línea, recuerde 6 pies de distancia.
La línea se formará en el pasillo junto a la Santísima Madre. El Padre Prem en inglés y español y el Padre
Martin y Padre Joy en ingles.
ACTUALIZACIÓN DE LA OFICINA PARROQUIAL
1. La oficina estará abierta de Lunes a Jueves de 10:00 a 3:00.
2. La Iglesia estará abierta para orar de Lunes a Viernes de 3:00 a 6:00.
3. Confesiones estarán disponibles durante las horas de oración.
4. Todos deben usar máscaras y mantener el distanciamiento social en la iglesia.

Confession in St. Francis of Assisi Church During times of private prayer
(3PM—6PM)
, the friarswill be available to hear confessions. This will take place in the narthex/vestibule of the church.
Confessions will be face to face, masks worn, and if a line, remember 6 feet apart.
Line will form on the aisle by the Blessed Mother.
Fr. Prem in English and Spanish and Fr. Martin & Fr.
Joy in English.

2. Church will be open for private prayer Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00.

6. During weekend Masses, there will be a basket to place your offering in and no formal collection.
7. Sign of peace will be with a nod or a wave only.

9. All Masses, weddings, baptisms and funerals are permitted with 75 maximum people. Masks must be worn by all.
10. Entrance to church will be 15 minutes be- fore Mass and doors locked when Mass begins. Use side door by friary.

Why did the Pope declare a year of St. Joseph? /¿Por qué declaró el Papa un año de San José?
In making his declaration, Pope Francis noted that this year marks the 150th anniversary of the saint’s proclamation as patron of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX on Dec. 8, 1870. Pope Francis said the coronavirus pandemic has heightened his desire to reflect on St. Joseph, as so many people during the pandemic have made hidden sacrifices to protect others, just as St. Joseph quietly protect- ed and cared for Mary and Jesus. “Each of us can discover in Joseph -- the man who goes unnoticed, a daily, discreet and hidden presence -- an intercessor, a support and a guide in times of trouble,” the pope wrote. He also said he wanted to highlight St. Joseph’s role as a father who served his family with charity and humility, adding, “Our world today needs fathers.”

ons as well as encourage young men and women who may be thinking about a voca on to priesthood, religious life as a priest, brother or sister, and to encourage young couples preparing for marriage. If you are interested in becoming a part of this new ministry we invite you to come and spend some me April 25th at Eucharis c Adora on. Once we are permi ed to gather again as a group, we will meet and begin planning ac vi es. We look forward to having you join us.
