Spring Cleaning Clothes Recycling

It's that time of the year again for spring cleaning. Don't take up closet and storage space with these bulky items. Join the

Confirmation II parents and donate your winter clothes, sweaters, outer wear, coats, hats, and beanies. Items will be accepted in the green recycling bin next to the bbq pit/soccer field throughout the month of May. All donations will benefit the Open Door Mission of Houston.

Reciclaje de Ropa en Primavera

Es nuevamente esa época del año para hacer la limpieza de primavera. No ocupe innecesariamente ese espacio en su armario con estos objetos voluminosos. Únete a los padres de confirmación II y haga sus donaciones de ropa de invierno, suéteres, ropa exterior, abrigos, sombreros y gorros. Los artículos serán aceptados durante todo el mes de Mayo en el recipiente de reciclaje verde localizado en el campo de fútbol al lado de la parrilla de barbacoas. Todas las donaciones beneficiarán a la Misión de Puertas Abiertas de Houston.

OLMC School

OLMC School celebrated its Spring Carnival with a bang! The school along with the community joined together in raising funds for the school - $3,100.00. The festival was complete with delicious homemade dishes, bar-b-que, cold refreshments, games, petting zoo, music and plenty of fun! Of all the

booths, the most popular was the pie in the face! Thanks to Mr. Micco, Nguyen, Sequiera and Ramos for lending their faces as well their clothes for the fundraising event! This seemed to be the longest line of all the booth lines.

At 6:00 PM parents and

visitors were still arriving

and enjoying the festivities. Finally, at 7:30 PM

things began to wind down and the event was capped off with the Chicken Dance led by 3rd Grade Teacher: Mrs. Sue Martin. She was joined by Miss Mary Buckley, Mrs. Martha Ibarra and others, while the parents cheered and looked on. Finally, those parents who were still here helped in the clean up. It was wonderful to see this type of cooperation among the

school and community members.

We would like to thank Mrs. S o p h i a H o l t o n , w h o coordinated the event, and to a l l t h e p a r e n t s a n d parishioners who contributed to making this event a success. Thank you and God bless you.

Escuela OLMC

La escuela OLMC celebró su Carnaval de Primavera con una explosión! La escuela, junto con la comunidad se unieron para recaudar fondos para la escuela - $ 3,100.00. El festival tuvo deliciosos platos caseros, bar-b-que, refrescos fríos, juegos, zoológico de mascotas, música y mucha diversión! De todas las casetas, la más popular fue la del pastel en la cara! Gracias a los señores Micco, Nguyen, Sequiera y Ramos por prestar sus rostros y sus ropas para nuestro evento de recaudación de fondos! Definitivamente esta era la línea más larga de todas las casetas del carnaval.

A las 6:00 PM los padres y visitantes seguían llegando para disfrutar de la fiesta. Finalmente, a las 7:30 PM las cosas empezaron a calmarse un poco y el evento culminó con el baile del pollo dirigido por la profesora del 3er Grado: la señora Sue Martin. A ella se le unió la señorita Mary Buckley, la señora Martha Ibarra y otras, mientras que los padres observaban y aplaudían alegremente. Por último, los padres que aún estaban allí a esa hora nos ayudaron con la limpieza. Fue maravilloso ver a esta gran cooperación entre los miembros de la escuela y de la

comunidad.

Quisiéramos dar las gracias a la señora Sofía Holton, quien coordinó el evento, y a todos los padres y feligreses que contribuyeron a que esta actividad comunitaria fuera un éxito. Muchas Gracias y que Dios los bendiga a todos.

OLMC School

Register Now!

OLMC School is now accepting registrations for the 2015-16 school year. Those families with 3 or 4 year old children who are interested in our Pre-Kindergarten program should sign up soon, as classes are nearly full. Our Pre-K program is an academic program in which students begin to learn the fundamentals of school behavior, academics, and faith. If your child will be age 3 and toilet-trained by September 1, 2015 they qualify to enroll in Pre-K3. If they will be age 4 by September 1, 2015, they will qualify to enroll in Pre-K4. Students may enroll in any grade level where there is space, with a written recommendation from their prior school. La escuela OLMC está aceptando las matrículas para el año escolar 2015-16. Las familias con niños de 3 ó 4 años de edad que estén interesadas en el programa de Pre -Kinder deben inscribirse pronto, ya que las clases están casi llenas. Nuestro programa de Pre -K es de un programa académico en el que los estudiantes comienzan a aprender los fundamentos de la conducta escolar, aspectos académicos y de fe. Si su hijo va a cumplir 3 años de aquí al 1ro. de Septiembre 2015 y ya va solo al baño entonces cumple los requisitos para inscribirse en Pre -K3. Si va a cumplir sus 4 años de aquí al 1ro. de Septiembre 2015 entonces reúne los requisitos para inscribirse en Pre -K4. Los estudiantes pueden matricularse en cualquier nivel en que aún tengamos espacio, con una recomendación escrita de su escuela anterior.
