Dear Colleagues and friends, I am very pleased to invite you to participate in this Conference organized jointly by the Road Administration of Chile, the World Road Association (PIARC) and the Chilean Association of Highways and Transportation (ACCT).

Este evento proveerá un punto de encuentro técnico, a nivel nacional e internacional, entre especialistas, profesionales, académicos y estudiantes relacionados con la ingeniería de puentes. Además será un estimulante espacio para discusión sobre temas de investigación, innovación y desarrollo tecnológico en la
materia, complementándose las presentaciones con el desarrollo de una feria tecnológica. Espero sean parte de este evento internacional, que se realiza por primera vez en Chile.

with the National Road Administration (DV) of Chile, JICA, FHWA, The Catholic University of Chile (PUC) and the Professional Association of Engineers of Chile, are pleased to announce the 1st International Bridge Conference Chile (CIPCh): “Future Challenges: Design, Construction and Maintenance of Bridges”, which will be held on September 24-26, 2014, in Santiago de Chile, as part of the international activities of the “Bridge and Structures Committee of Chile” of ACCT.
Construcción y Mantenimiento, durante los días 24, 25 y 26 de Septiembre de 2014, en la ciudad de Santiago, como parte de las actividades internacionales del “COMITÉ DE PUENTES Y ESTRUCTURAS DE CHILE” de la ACCT.
Esta iniciativa persigue generar un punto de encuentro técnico a nivel nacional e
internacional, entre los especialistas, profesionales, académicos y estudiantes en torno a la ingeniería de puentes, en sus diversas áreas: diseño, construcción y mantenimiento. Además de generar el espacio para la discusión en temas de investigación, innovación, como también de los proyectos chilenos e internacionales. Este intercambio permite impulsar el desarrollo de la ingeniería de puentes en Chile, fomentar las buenas prácticas profesionales, promover la investigación e innovación y facilitar el intercambio de conocimiento y tecnología.

The seminar will feature an intensive three-day program of presentations and discussions about Bridge Engineering. Participants will engage in international presentations at sessions related with Design, Research / Innovation, Maintenance and Construction of bridges. Additionally, a special session about Chilean and Latin-America experience will be programmed.
Why attend? This initiative aims at generating a technical
meeting point, at national and international levels, between specialists, professionals, academics and students related to bridge engineering, namely: design, construction and maintenance. Additionally, the conference aims at generating a place for discussion on research topics, innovation and technology exchange.
Finally, this conference allows fostering of the development of Bridge Engineering in Chile, as it will promote the best professional practices, research and innovation, and effectively facilitate the technical exchange.

Los Autores deberán incluir la información de contacto: título del trabajo (no mayor a 100 caracteres), nombre completo, institución y correo electrónico.
Con el fin de alcanzar un buen nivel de presentación, el resumen se deberá enviar en formato Word y PDF al email de la Secretaria de la Conferencia ([email protected]).
El Comité Científico revisará los resúmenes y confirmará su aceptación.
