Dear Faithful Parishioners.

I am blessed every morning to be able to look out at our beautiful children reciting the flag salute, saying prayers and singing songs of praise. What a blessing they have been to me these past months since I've been here at Sacred Heart School. Their parents have put a Catholic education high on their list of priorities…they give up other things to provide this for their children. Wouldn't it be wonderful if more families were able to attend Sacred Heart? We ask that you remember our tuition assistance program on each 5th Sunday of the month and support us with any amount you are able to give. Your generosity has made it possible for some children to attend our parish school who may not have been able to in the past. In the words of Pope John Paul II, "Community is at the heart of all Catholic education, not simply as a concept to be taught, but as a reality to be lived . . . Your students will learn to understand and appreciate the value of community as they experience love, trust, and loyalty in your school and

educational programs, and as they learn to trust all persons as brothers and sisters created by God and redeemed by Christ." Thank you, in advance, for helping this to happen!

Wishing you all a blessed Easter Season! Connie Rossi-Rains, Principal

2015 ANNUAL MINISTRY APPEAL – “DEEPENING THE FAITH-TOGETHER IN

SERVICE!”

THANK YOU to all the members of our parish family who have taken

the time to reflect on the gifts God has given them and made a decision to support our AMA appeal. 190 of our 2,239 registered families have pledged $56,606.17 toward our parish goal of $72,000 (the diocese will receive $40,200). That’s 8.49% of our registered families. Our families, our homes, our health, and everything we possess are gifts from God. Your pledge of financial support

recognizes God’s supreme generosity and is the spirit of true Christian Stewardship. As a parishioner in your local church, and as a

parishioner of the Diocese of Monterey, we ask you to help us meet the challenge we now face. The key ingredient to the success of our AMA is participation. Last year we repaired the Stone Street sidewalk and built a plaza area in front of the parish hall. This year, we hope to use the rebate funds to continue to upgrade and beautify our Church and its facilities. Not everyone may be able to give the same size gift, but everyone can give the same size sacrifice. Any level of participation is a blessing. Together, we can show our support for the works of the diocese and our parish. Online giving is available at www.dioceseofmonterey.org/ama. If you have any questions, please contact the parish office at 424-1959 or the AMA “Hotline”

at 831-645-2844.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE -We need people to help us

pray in front of Planned Parenthood for 40 days during Lent. Sacred Heart's day is Monday of each week until Easter. We are there from 8-5pm and you could come any hour that works for you. It is a beautiful experience and a spiritual blessing. Just bring yourself and Rosary beads and we provide the signs and prayer books. It's a very peaceful protest and our purpose is to end abortion. Any questions, please call Suzanne @ 758-4997.
