My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Third Sunday in Lent
In cleansing the Temple of all the “business activity” both honest and dishonest, as we hear in the
gos-pel proclaimed today, the Lord proclaims, quoting the Prophet Isaiah,
“My house will be called a
house of prayer for all peoples.”
This task of making access to God available to all people would take
place especially through the death and resurrection of Jesus, an event we share each time we celebrate
Mass and participate in the Eucharist.
The passage of cleansing the Temple comes to us on this Third Sunday of Lent to ask us to reflect on
our own relationship with God. We call him Lord. Do our lives show that we believe what we say?
Take time to refresh the life of the Spirit that has been given you through baptism. Then witness your
faith like disciples and believers throughout the ages. Be assured of my prayers for you and for your
dear ones. May the good Lord bless you with wisdom, health, and peace. Please pray for me.

Mis Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,
Tercer Domingo de Cuaresma
Al limpiar el Templo de toda "actividad empresarial", tanto honesta como deshonesta, que oímos en el
Evangelio de hoy, el Señor proclama, citando al profeta Isaías:
"Mi casa será llamada casa de oración
para todos los pueblos."
Esta tarea de poner el acceso a Dios a disposición de todas las personas tendría
lugar especialmente a través de la muerte y resurrección de Jesús, un acontecimiento que compartimos
cada vez que celebramos la misa y participamos en la Eucaristía.
El pasaje de la limpieza del Templo nos viene a nosotros en este Tercer Domingo de Cuaresma para
pe-dirnos que reflexionemos sobre nuestra propia relación con Dios. Lo llamamos Señor. ¿Nuestras vidas
demuestran que creemos en lo que decimos?
Tomen tiempo para meditar y refrescar la vida del Espíritu que se les ha dado en su bautismo.
Enton-ces den testimonio de su fe, así como lo han hecho los cristianos en cada siglo. Cuenten siempre con mis
oraciones. Que el Señor los fortalezca con sabiduría, salud y paz. Por favor, oren por mí.

Helping children cope with grief
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many children
are grieving — they may have lost family members, they
are cut off from their friends and their routines, and their
lives have changed significantly. Parents can help
chil-dren work through their strong emotions by
acknowl-edging their feelings and encouraging children to talk
about them. Talk with them honestly and simply, helping
them to answer any questions they might have about
why this is happening, or what will happen next. Often,
showing children that they are loved unconditionally can
help them handle strong feelings of loss and sadness.

Holy Trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, I
adore you deeply and I offer you the
pre-cious Body, Blood and Divinity of Jesus
Christ present in all the tabernacle on earth,
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and
indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, for
the infinite merits of his most holy Heart and of the
Immac-ulate Heart of Mary, I ask you for the conversion of poor
sinners.
