Feria de Regreso a la Escuela de Caridades Católicas
La 26° Feria Anual de Regreso a la Escuela del Condado de Will, coordinada por Caridades Católicas, la Diócesis de Joliet se llevará a cabo el jueves 2 de agosto 2018 de 10:00am a 5:00pm en Joliet Catholic Academy (1200 N. Larkin Avenue) en Joliet.
San Juan colectará cuadernos y highlighters nuevos para la Feria de Regreso a la Escuela Las cajas de colección estarán en la parte posterior de la iglesia a partir del 16 de junio hasta el 29 de julio. Todas las donaciones son muy agradecidas.
Catholic Charities’ Back to School Fair
The 26th Annual Will County Back to School Fair, coordinated by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Joliet Catholic Academy (1200 N. Larkin Avenue) in Joliet.
St. John will be collecting new spiral notebooks and highlighters, for the back to school fair. Collection boxes will be in the back of Church starting June 16th thru July 29th. All donation are greatly appreciate it.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
You may register in the parish office for the Religious Education Program, which offers faith formation/catechesis opportunities for every grade.
Sacrament Preparation: Children beginning first grade and older can begin preparation for First Holy Communion. Children entering seventh grade and older can begin preparation for Confirmation. All families register and pay tuition every year.
A parent/guardian must bring each child’s baptismal certificate and complete the registration forms. The total cost should be paid at the time of registration. Parishioners with financial difficulties may meet with one of the priests to discuss a payment plan. All tuition of previous year must be paid in full before registering for the new year.

Prayerfully consider taking this opportunity to build a stronger relationship with God, learn more about the Catholic faith, and get to know others who serve God. The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Society continues to make a difference in the neighborhood. Each week they go down and work in the community garden at Spring and Bluff Streets.
The Society spends quality time with a number of the children who come and help
us that reside at River Terrace. Our young people and their parents are making a positive effort putting St John the Baptist and St. Peter Lutheran on the map. After the garden work everyone returns to the friary for refreshments and then we share prayer.
Everyone has to say one positive, and one negative experience that hopefully they can work through and become better persons by sharing their concerns in common prayer. The whole thrust of the society is to build community within the parish youth. Please keep our young people in prayer.

REGISTRACIÓN DE EDUCACIÓN RELIGIOSA
Puede registrarse en la oficina parroquial para el Programa de Educación Religiosa, que ofrece oportunidades de formación de fe / catequesis para cada grado. Preparación para el sacramento: los niños que comienzan el primer grado pueden comenzar la preparación para la primera comunión.

St. Joseph Academy and Montessori Preschool, the former St. Joseph School, will be located on the 2nd floor of our school building beginning with this 2018- 2019 school year.
St. Joseph Academy provides students with a Christ- centered education. They guide each child on his or her journey to become a disciple of Christ through spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development.

Our piano fund is currently at $3904. The purchase price is $7000 so we are needing $3096 to be donated. If you would like to donate, special piano fund envelopes are in the back of the church and can be placed in the regular Sunday collection basket or dropped off at the parish office. Divine Worship
The Training the Trainers of Readers Workshop will take place on Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blanchette Catholic Center. This is a rescheduled Workshop from earlier this year. The participants will re- ceive techniques on making the proclamation of the Scrip- tures more meaningful to themselves and to the Assembly, along with more information on the Liturgy of Word and its place in the celebration of the Eucharist.
