PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is ha-tred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon,; where there is doubt, faith; where there is des-pair, hope; where there is dark-ness, light and where there is sad-ness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be un-derstood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

ORACIÓN DE SAN FRANCISCO DE ASÍS

Hazme instrumento de tu paz. Donde haya odio que lleve tu amor, donde hay injuria, tu perdón, Señor. Donde haya duda, claridad. Hazme instrumento de tu paz. Que ponga esperanza donde no la hay, donde haya oscuridad, yo pon-ga luz, donde haya tristeza, ilusión. Que no busque con-suelo yo, Señor. Que consolar sea todo mi afán. Que comprenda siempre a los demás y que los ame sin pedirles amor. Hazme instrumento de tu paz. HAIL MARY

OFRECIMIENTO DE LA MAÑANA

O Jesús, por medio del Corazón Inmaculado de María, te ofrezco mis oraciones, trabajos, gozos y sufrimientos de este día por las intenciones de Tu Sagrado Corazón en unión del Santo Sacrificio de la Misa a través del mundo, en reparación de mis ofensas, por las intenciones de todos mis compañeros, y en particular por la intención recomen-dada por Nuestro Santo Padre el Papa, para este mes.

SEÑAL DE LA CRUZ

En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.

PADRE NUESTRO

Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo, santificado sea tu Nombre; venga a nosotros tu reino; hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo. MORNING OFFERING

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reun-ion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentreun-ions of our Bishops and of all our associates, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

ACT OF HOPE

O my God, relying on your almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of your grace, and life everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

ACT OF LOVE

O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

ACT OF FAITH

O my God, I believe that you are one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that your Divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that he will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths that the Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.

BLESSING BEFORE MEALS

Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We give You thanks for these and all Your gifts, almighty God. You live and rule forever. Amen.

LA SALVE REINA

Dios te Salve, Reina y Madre de misericordia; vida, dulzura esperanza nuestra, Dios te salve. A Ti llamamos los deste-rrados hijos de Eva, a Ti suspiramos, gimiendo y llorando en este valle de lágrimas. Ea, pues, Señora, abogada nues-tra, vuelve a nosotros esos tus ojos misericordiosos; y des-pués de este destierro muéstranos a Jesús, fruto bendito de tu vientre. ¡O clementísima! ¡O piadosa! ¡O dulce Vir-gen María! ACTO DE ESPERANZA

Oh, Dios mío, confió en tu infinita bondad y en tus prome-sas, y espero obtener el perdón de mis pecados, la ayuda de tu gracia, y la vida eterna, pos los méritos de Jesucris-to, mi Señor y Redentor. Amen.

ACTO DE AMOR

Oh, Dios mío, te amo sobre todas la cosas con todo mi co-razón y con toda mi alma porque eres bueno y digno de mi amor. Amo a mi prójimo como a mí mismo pro amor a tí. Perdono a quienes me han injuriado y pido perdón a cuan-tos haya ofendido. Amen.

ACTO DE FE

Oh, Dios mío, creo firmemente que eres un solo Dios en tres personas divinas, Padre, Hijo, Espíritu Santo; creo que tu Hijo divino se hizo hombre y murió por nuestros pe-cados y que vendrá a juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos. Creo ésta y todas las verdades que la Iglesia católica ense-ña, porque tú las has revelado y ni engañas ni puedes ser engañado. Amen

PRECEPTS OF THE CHURCH

 You shall attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Ob-ligation and rest from servile labor.

 You shall confess your sins at least once a year.

 You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season.

 You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the church.

TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. I am the Lord, your God. You shall have no other gods besides me.

2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.

3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day. 4. Honor your mother and father.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. DOS PRINCIPALES MANDAMIENTOS

1. Amaras al Señor tu Dios, con todo tu corazón, con to-da mente, y con toto-das tus fuerzas.

EL CREDO DE LOS APÓSTOLES

Creo en Dios, Padre Todopoderoso, Creador del cielo y de la tierra. Creo en Jesucristo, su único Hijo, Nuestro Señor, que fue concebido por obra y gracia del Espíritu Santo, nació de Santa María Virgen, padeció bajo el po-der de Poncio Pilato, fue crucificado, muerto y sepulta-do, descendio a los infiernos, al tercer día resucitó de entre los muertos, subió a los cielos y está sentado a la derecha de Dios, Padre todopoderoso. Desde allí ha de venir a juzgar a vivos y muertos. HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY

1. Make the Sign of the Cross and say the Apostles’ Creed 2. Pray the Lord’s Prayer.

3. Pray three Hail Mary’s.

4. Pray the Glory be to the Father.

5. Announce the first mystery, then say the Lord’s Prayer. 6. Pray ten Hail Mary’s.

7. Pray the Glory be to the Father.

8. After the five mysteries have been completed, pray

the Hail Holy Queen.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

Before I go to the Priest:

 I will examine my life and behavior. If I have said or done hurtful things, I will think about them so I can tell them to the priest.

 I will tell God I am sorry before I tell the priest my sins.

 While I await my turn I will pray silently. When I go to the Priest:

 The Priest will welcome me.

 He will listen carefully, while I tell him my sins.

 He will talk with me about my sins and give me a pen-ance.

 He will forgive my sins in the name of God and in the name of the community.

When he tells me to go in peace, I will answer: Thank you, Father.

PRAYER OF SORROW

O my God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong, and in failing to do good. I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Amen.

TRADITIONAL ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee. I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen

Antes de ir con el Padre

 Examinare mi vida y comportamiento. Si he dicho o echo cosas dañosas, pensare en ellas para decir celas al Padre.

 Le diré a Dios que me arrepiento antes de decirle al Padre mis pecados.

 Por mientras que espero mi turno orare en silencio. Cuando valla al Padre

 El Padre me dará la bienvenida.

 Escuchara con cuidado, por mientras que le digo mis pecados.

 Me hablara de mis pecados y me dará una penitencia.

 Perdonara mis pecados en el nombre de Dios y en el nombre de la comunidad.

 Cuando me diga que valla en paz, responderé: Gracias Padre.

ACTO DE CONTRICIÓN

Señor mío Jesucristo, por ser Tu quien eres y porque yo Te amo sobre todas las cosas, mi me pesa, Señor, de todo co-razón de haberos ofendido, y propongo firmemente nunca mas pecar, confesarme, cumplir la penitencia que me fue-ra impuesta, y apartarme de todas las ocasiones de ofen-deros. Amen.
