Laminated stock. Very good condition with an excellent bore.

8mm caliber, 24” barrel, S/N 85278 l. Blue finish, laminated stock, byf 44 receiver code, L block, Kriegs model, matching numbers. ZF41 scope S/N 9295d with jve code. Excellent condition with a very good but dark bore. It retains most of its original blue finish with some thinning and the stock is excellent but has been cleaned. The scope is missing its sunshade.

998 *Springfield Model 1903 Pope Heavy Barreled Target Rifle
This rifle is not a Springfield Armory assembled piece. .30-06 caliber, 32” five-groove, heavy round barrel, S/N 1258100. Barrel is marked on the top 14” forward of the receiver H.M. Pope and on the bottom just forward of the receiver, reading from the muzzle back 650 WL HT 14/0 9/5/24 H.M. Pope 00. The heavy barrel steps down from a 1.1 in. diameter, 2.6 in. breech section, to an untapered 1 in. diameter.
The muzzle is flat. The stock is a 1922, .22 caliber stock with channel widened and bedded to accept the barreled action. The butt stock has been shortened 0.5 in. and fitted with a rubber buttplate assembly. The bolt is straight-handled and case hardened. The trigger has been carefully worked for a crisp let-off and small set screw has been installed to limit trigger movement. There is no front barrel band. A service rifle rear sling has been installed just to the rear of the barrel band seat. Lyman 48 rear sight. Scope mounts are on the receiver ring and are 7.25” forward of the breech. The rifle is in excellent condition with an excellent bore and unmarred rust bluing.
The stock is unmarred. Front sight is missing. Bore is excellent.

“D35382 SA;” bolt marked “D28287-19SA” over “A-9;” receiver marked “D28291 35 B 39 B;” also marked rear of the sight “SA-52;” trigger housing marked
“D28290-12-SA;” safety marked “C46015 - 9SA;” hammer marked “C46008-3 SA.” refinished walnut stocks are unmarked. Griffin & Howe M1C scope mount S/N 3638621, Lyman All Weather scope. Excellent condition with an excellent bore. The SA-52 is a rarely encountered mark used at Springfield in 1952 to indicate a major overhaul of the M1 rifle. It was during this operation that the stocks were replaced and the numbers on the scope and base got out of sequence. This rifle has been examined and authenticated by David McClain and Scott Duff and has supporting documents to show such. This is a fine example for the advanced M1 collector.

.30-06 caliber, 24” barrel, S/N 1407703. Parkerized finish, walnut stocks, M84 telescope (S/N 28393) with rubber eye piece, barrel marked “T P S-A-4-52P,” bolt marked “D28287-195A-9,” flat-sided op-rod with small cutout notch marked “D35382 9 SA;” receiver marked “D28291 17, S10E;” trigger housing marked “D28290-12-SA;” safety marked “SA 11;” hammer marked “C46008 7 SA;” stock has two P’s in circle cartouches (one is very faint and is probably original, while the other is likely a product of the stock overhaul). Includes supporting documents showing provenance, original box and all packing, Hart Mfg. Co. M2 flash hider, web sling, leather cheek piece. Excellent condition with an excellent bore. Metal parts are excellent retaining ca 97% parkerized finish with a few scratches on the left side of the barrel and the back of the receiver.

.30-06 caliber, 24” barrel, S/N 2422126. Parkerized finish, walnut stocks, barrel marked with a P over W in an oblong circle. Early curved-side op-rod with no cutout notch is marked “D35382-WRA;” bolt marked “D28287-1 W.R.A.;” receiver marked “D28291-2;” trigger housing marked “D28290-W.R.A.;” milled triggerguard marked “C46025 W.R.A.;” hammer marked “C46008-1W.R.A.;” stock stamped on left side with “WRA,GHD” within a square box and crossed cannon cartouche. Very good to near excellent condition with a very good, but dark, bore. The wood is near excellent with original finish and only minor dings and scratches. This is a complete and correct specimen for the discerning collector.

Barrel marked “1-S-A-6-45;” flat-sided op-rod with no cutout notch marked “D35382 9 SA;” bolt marked “D28287-19SA, B-16-B;” receiver marked “D 28281 35, Z 1 B;” trigger housing marked “D28290-18-SA;” un-marked safety, hammer marked “C 46008 9SA;” unmarked triggerguard. Buttstock has cartouche with “S.A.” over “N.F.R.” within a square and crossed cannon cartouche; two “P” proofs on pistol grip (one serifed and inside a circle). Excellent condition with an excellent bore. This gun retains ca 90+% original light gray parkerized finish and the stocks rate excellent with crisp un-altered markings and only minor dings. This is a clean original WWII collector piece.

rear sight marked “DRC IHC;” trigger housing marked “6528290-SA;” hammer marked “SA D5546008.” Includes original 1956 dated government purchase paper. Excellent condition with an excellent bore. It retains ca 97% original parkerized finish with only minor wear on the bolt ant the receiver from the op-rod. The wood is excellent with only a few very minor dings. Included with this rifle in an excellent article written by author Bruce N. Canfield for “American Rifleman” magazine stating that there were only about 4000 “Type 1” National Match rifles sold through the DCM program and that few un-altered examples are in civilian hands. This is a truly rare, collectible Garand in top condition.

A substantial and crisp example of Hitler’s work, as outlined by expert Peter Jahn in a letter of authenticity dated April 19, 1982. According to Jahn, this work was one of the largest he’d seen. Fine condition.

Adolf Hitler (German, 1889-1945). Watercolor on paper, signed and dated 1910, l.r.; 12.2 x 8.4.
Accompanied by an original letter from Peter Jahn, dated October 21, 1980. Jahn, who was reigning expert verifying Hitler’s authentic works, identified the scene quite specifically as Mannerheim, with St. Ulrich’s Church in the background. At this time, Jahn continues, Hitler was struggling and penniless and often painted in this area. Very good.

1011 German WWI Blue Max Award Wearing Copy
All we have is an oral history with this Pour Le Mérite and according to that history a Captain Horst Meyer on 11-08-18 was awarded the Blue Max. There was a Captain Meyer who won a Blue Max on this date, although his name was Emil Berthold Meyer.
Also is a locket with a picture of a Prussian officer which is supposed to be Captain Meyer, a Prussian War Merit Cross also belonging Capt. Meyer, and a replacement ribbon. Very good.
