1013 Cased John Rigby & Co. Double Rifle

45 x 3.25mm caliber, 26” barrels, S/N 13856. Top of barrel marked John Rigby & Co Dublin & London.

Banknote-style finely scroll-engraved frame, locks, hammers, triggerguard, under-lever, finials and top of buttplate. Sling swivels, checkered steel buttplate, safeties on locks. Checkered forearm with wedge, checkered pistol grip, finely figured walnut stock with pistol grip and forearm. Cased in canvas and leather style trunk casing. Has Wm & John Rigby Dublin Ireland label inside of case lid.

Barrels have been professionally restored and retain ca 98% of the proper rust blue finish. Markings are very sharp and crisp and still have a proud touch. Locks and hammer retain 90% of the original case coloring just lightly fading. Frame still retains 40% of the original case coloring the rest has faded, but very sharp and crisp. Stock and forearm are excellent. Bores are excellent.

16x16x8x57 J.R. caliber, 23.5” barrels, S/N 19156. Blue Boehler Spezial barrels. Seven-pin sidelock receiver; receiver profusely engraved with floral pattern and stippled background;

bottom of receiver marked “Krieghoff Drilling, Neptun Luxus.” Left sidelock engraved with a wooded game scene with 3 wild boars; right sidelock engraved with a wooded scene with 2 bull elks. Horn triggerguard and pistol grip cap; gold-plated triggers, set trigger, floral engraved 4-round bullet trap. Takedown lever features a “WC” monogram. Quick detach Carl Zeiss, Jena claw-mounted Zielvier scope, S/N 63485, with clear optics. Excellent condition with excellent bores. It retains nearly all of its original finish except for the triggers which retains ca 50% of the gold plating. The walnut stocks rate very good to near excellent with only some minor dings and scratches. This is a high grade European sporting gun.

1016 English Field London Martini Action Single-Shot Rifle

.577/450 caliber, 29.5” barrel, S/N 3761. Six-leaf express sights (1 standing, 5 folding). Very good condition with a good but dark bore. The wood is good with a repair to the toe of the buttstock and many dings and scratches.

1017 **Midland Gun Co., Side-by-Side Double-Barrel Shotgun

12 ga., 31.625” Damascus barrels choked IC/F, S/N 83645. Walnut checkered stocks, DT, extractors, 2.75” chambers, nitro proofed, LOP 14.75” over added solid rubber pad. The receiver features an English setter on the left panel and a couple of grouse in flight on the right panel. The balance of the engraving is in a scroll pattern. Excellent condition with excellent bores. It retains nearly all of the original Damascus pattern on the barrels and the receiver retains traces of the original case colors. The stocks are very good with minor dings and scratches.

12 ga., 34” ribbed barrel, S/N 101211. Blue barrel, case colored 6-pin sidelock receiver. Walnut checkered stocks, oval German silver initial plate on belly of buttstock. L.O.P. 15.25” over added rubber pad, drop at comb 1.625”; drop at heel 1.75”; ivory front and mid-beads; mid-bead has been moved forward 2.5”. Barrel is marked “W&C Scott & Sons, Makers, 55 Victoria St, London, England.” Very good condition with an excellent bore. The barrel retains ca 98%

original blue finish with a couple of small rust pits on the left side near the muzzle. The receiver retains ca 25-30% original case colors and the wood is excellent with a couple of minor dings and scratches.

1020 German Zimmerstutzen Rifle

.4mm caliber, 26” octagonal-to-fluted barrel. Top of barrel matted, marked in an oval panel Miller & Val Greiss Munchen. At the breech on the top flat marked M & M. On the left side of frame in the top corner near the breech marked D.R.G.M. Finely engraved frame with a panel of doe and fawn with a hawk flying above. On the right side a panel with stag and doe in the forest. Nicely scrolled engraving. Ram horn buttstock with fine checkering and carving. Forearm is nicely carved in oak leaf design. Barrel is finished in blue. The frame, lever, rear tang sight are case colored. This rifle retains almost all of the original finish. Stock has a couple of very minute mars. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 9.9. This is a fantastic rifle.

.4mm caliber, 26.5” fluted barrel. Marked on the top flat in gold and silver Carl Stiegele Kgl. Bagr. Fofgewehxfabil Munchen. Nicely relief-engraved hammer, lock, lever. Buttplate with panel engraving; on the sideplate with young hunters carry a rabbit. Deeply carved buttstock with vines and oak leaves. Barrel retains most of the original blue finish just lightly fading. Lock and hammer have a nice grey look with case colors slightly muted. Overall a very sharp and crisp rifle with excellent carving.
