C) La Directiva 2011/85/UE
1.7. La propuesta de directiva de 2017
I. THE PRIMACY OF THE POPE.
(1) “Mahomet retired to his cave ... to form the Alcorn in 606, the very year in which the saints in the West were given into the hands of the Pope by the tyrant Phocas ... and as they were to continue for twelve hundred and sixty years ... we have only to add 1260 to 606 in order to obtain the year when God shall commence their utter destruction” - Millennial Harbinger, Jan 1831, Daniel.
(2) “Through him (Pope Gregory I) papal primacy in spiritual matters and Roman order in secular affairs made their impact on the new kingdoms of western Europe” - Clyde Manschreck, 1985, A History of Christianity in the World, Prentice-Hall, Inc..
The Bible interpreter (#1), and the university professor (#2), have arrived at the same conclusion through different means. The expositor had applied history to Jesus’ prophecies (#1), while the professor reported secular history only, and still described, “The Primacy of the Pope.” Professor Manschreck pinpointed Pope Gregory I (r. 594-604), and “Daniel” (Millennial Harbinger) preferred Pope Sabinian (r.
604-06). But many writers had concluded the “Primacy” began in this era.
#666: THE FALSE PROPHET. “I Protera,” in the Greek, identifies #666. The Greek “I” is a superscript for “tenth,” from Homer. See: BAGD. “Protera” is rendered “first the of two” (Ibid.) The numerical equivalents to the Greek letters are:
I = 10, P = 80, R = 100, O = 70, T = 300, E = 5, R = 100, A = 1. TOTAL: 666!
Pope Gregory I (r. 600) was the “tenth” Pope after the renewal of government support for the Papacy in AD 527. Odoacer, and the Herulii, who had conquered Rome in 476, did not recognize the Papacy. This disregard of the Papacy and Pope continued until Queen Amalasuntha, acting as regent for her minor king (Athalaric), restored political favor to the Papacy and Pope (Beast and False Prophet), in AD 527. These ten popes were:
Felix IV (#1), Dioscorus (n/a), Boniface II (#2), John II (#3), Agapitus I (#4), Silverius (n/a), Vigilius (#5), Pelagius I (#6), John III (#7), Benedict I (#8), Pelagius II (#9), and Gregory I (#10).
This list is composed of the names of the Ten Popes after the renewal of governmental support, and recognition of the Papacy. Dioscorus and Silverius were not recognized on the official list of popes:
(3) DIOSCORUS: “The officials of the papal chancery, however, saw to it that the name of Dioscorus did not appear in the official lists of popes” - The Oxford Dictionary of the Popes, 1986, J.N.D. Kelly, Oxford Press.
(4) SILVERIUS: “Belisarius, swayed by his wife Antonina, had him stripped of his pallium, and degraded to the rank of a monk, and then deposed him” - Ibid.
The phrase, “the first of two,” which described #666, was explained in the Bible like this:
(5) “Then I saw another Beast (Pope) coming up out of the Earth (New Jerusalem) and he had Two Horns (Kingdoms) like a lamb and spoke like a Dragon (Satan - 12.9) ... And he deceives those who dwell on the Earth ...” - Rev 13.11, 14.
The Pope, “the bishop of Rome” (1st Horn), was declared to be “the bishop of bishops,” but later the Patriarch of the East (2nd Horn) claimed the same title of Ecumenical Bishop. This led to strife and
division, and finally to total separation, in AD 1054. Besides our interpretation of #666, many historians, and Bible expositors, have identified the “Mark of the Beast” to have begun with Gregory who instituted mass, and “belief that purgatory was essential to salvation;” and besides these facts, he was the first Pope with secular governmental power. See: Dan 7.25, Rev 13.11-18, for the “Mark of the Beast.” All things considered: Gregory is our man!
II. EXPOSITORS OF DANIEL.
(1) THE LITTLE HORN. “Interpreters are not agreed. Some will have the fourth kingdom to be the Seleucidae, and the little horn to be Antiochus ... but others will have the fourth kingdom to be that of the Romans, and the little horn to be Julius Caesar, and succeeding emperors (says Calvin), the antichrist, the papal kingdom (says Mr Joseph Mede), that ‘wicked one,’ which, as this ‘little horn,’ is to be consumed by the ‘brightness of Christ’s second coming.’ The pope assumes a power to ‘change times, and laws ...
an absolute and despotic power,’ as he calls it. Others make this ‘little horn’ to be the Turkish Empire,’
so Luther, Vatablus, and others” - A Commentary on the Whole Bible, 1710, Matthew Henry, vol 4, p 1075, World Bible Publishers, Iowa Falls IA.
The proper opinion will be proven by the fulfillment of prophesy, as it is recorded in the history books. The Bible is “historically interpreted.” We will submit other comments for the reader’s consideration, and analyze them all at the end.
(2) “In order to identify this little horn it is necessary to find a kingdom that will answer to all the given characteristics. Such a one we find in the Roman Catholic hierarchy, and nowhere else” - Reason and Revelation, 1868, Robert Milligan, p 75.
(3) “It is well to observe that the term twelve hundred and sixty years does not refer, as some have alleged, to the entire period of the Little Horn’s existence, but only to the period of his dominion over the saints. This commenced as of AD 533 ...” - Ibid., p 79.
(4) “Truly we live in an age of progress. The reign of Anti-Christ has passed: the Church is coming up out of the wilderness: the Two Witnesses have been received up into heaven; and the vials of wrath are now being poured out on all the enemies of truth and righteousness” - Millennial Harbinger, Jan 1858, Robert Milligan.
The reason for the dogmatism of Mr Milligan, and many others, was the Papal Inquisitions!
These were very convincing, and had been prophesied by our Lord Iesous,
“I saw the Woman (Great Prostitute) drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the martyrs of Iesous” (Rev 17.6).
Added to this overwhelming evidence, was the length of 1260 Days/Years. Considered together, these two proofs of the Prostitute’s identity were all that was needed for most men.
(5) “... and by the little horn, they suppose that either the Turkish power with its various branches is designated, or Mahomet, or the Papacy, or Antichrist” - Barnes’ Notes on Daniel, 1851, Albert Barnes, Part Two, p 41, Baker Books, Grand Rapids MI.
All expositors quoted employed the HISTORICAL APPROACH TO PROPHECY. This was the method utilized by the Lord Iesous in speaking of prophecies written in centuries past, and being fulfilled in His days of a “fleshly ministry.” Iesous identified John the Dipper as the fulfillment of Malachi’s two prophecies. See: Mt 11.10, Mal 3.1; Mt 11.14, Mal 4.5. These prophecies were “historically fulfilled.”
His interpretation of the destruction of Jerusalem (Mt 24.28-29), and of the temple (Mt 24.2), were
“historical approach” to Moses’ “curse of the law,” in which the same message was presented (Deut 28.64-68). Who is wiser than the Son of God, and better qualified to determine the proper method of interpretation of prophecy?
“Daniel,” quoted above in “The Millennial Harbinger,” would have the 42 Months to be: AD 606-1866. Manschreck was not interpreting prophecy, but relating history only; and if he was correct the 42 Months would have been: [AD 590-604] + 1260 Years. Milligan would have it to have been: AD 533-1793; which was a popular opinion for many years. The encyclopedia will confirm the winner of this guessing game.
III. BABYLON FALLS IN ONE DAY AND IN ONE HOUR.
(1) “In the year 1848 the people of Rome arose in rebellion to the Papal authority and drove Pius IX into exile. A few months later he was restored by a French army. Nor did he dare to remain when restored, save under the protection of French bayonets. With a French garrison he continued to rule his circumscribed territory until 1870. In that year France was compelled to withdraw her soldiers to defend her soil from German invasion” - Peoples’ New Testament, 1891, B. W. Johnson, Part Two, p 482, Gospel Light Pub. Co., Delight AR 71940.
(2) “In this connection, I may insert here the remarkable calculation of Robert Fleming, in ‘Apocalyptic Key’ ... in 1701. ‘The fifth vial (Rev 16.10) which is to be poured out on the seat of the beast ... the Roman see; that, I say, this judgment will probably begin about the year 1794, and expire not sooner than AD 1848 ... For I do suppose that, seeing the pope received the title of Supreme Bishop no sooner than AD 606, he cannot be supposed to have any vial poured on his seat ... until the year 1848” - Barnes’
Notes on Revelation, p 370, Baker Books.
(Fleming tried to convert 1260 lunar years into 1242 solar years [AD 606-1848]; but God did not intend for it to be that difficult to understand.)
(3) “The Papacy was the Dominating Power of the World from the 6th to the 18th centuries, the Most Despotic Power in history ... Its power was tremendously shaken by the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century, and by the French Revolution ... He (Napoleon) just about ended the Pope’s Political Power in Europe. Since then the Papal Power in World-Government has been a mere shadow of what it was in the Middle ages ... Popes spoke, and kings trembled. ‘Blasphemed the Name of God’ (16.9). Perhaps a reference to the Pope’s decree of his own infallibility (AD 1870)” - Halley’s Bible Handbook, 1944, Henry H Halley, p 729, Regency Reference Library, Zondervan Pub. House, 5300 Patterson SE, Grand Rapids MI 49530-0002.
(4) “ITALY ... Franco-Sardinian armies were victorious (against Austria) at Magenta (Jun 4, 1859) and Solferino (Jun 24) ... Lombardy was annexed ... When Garibaldi ... to the conquest of the Two Sicilies in May, 1860 ... The Franco-Prussian War having led to the withdrawal of French troops from Rome, both city and territory, last remnant of the Papal States, became part of Italy in 1870” - Modern Reference Encyclopedia, 1967, Grolier Inc., Stratford Press, Inc., New York NY.
IV. THE WINNER.
(1) Antiochus did not rule over Syria, or over Israel, for a period of 42 Months, or 1260 Days; either literal days or symbolical days.
(2) The Seljuk Turks came to power in the 11th century and surrendered to the British General, Edmund Allenby, on Oct 29, 1918; and so, they fall short of the mark of 1260 Days/Years.
(3) Julius Caesar never ruled over Israel at all; and, these prophecies are all about Israel, or else New Jerusalem.
(4) Antichrist is a mythical person created by the early “church fathers,” and promoted by the Papacy.
John identified “antichrists” to be persons not believing in the bodily presence of Iesous (man) the Anointed (God). See: 1 Jn 4.1-3. Some had referred, improperly we might add, to the Man of Sin as the Antichrist. He died at the “Lord’s appearing,”; AD 77.
(5) The PAPACY! This is the correct answer. The Catholic literature dates the Primacy of the Pope to be in AD 600. History dates the “fall in one day” (Rev 18.8) to have been from the battle of Magenta to the battle of the Two Sicilies; from Jun 4, 1859 to May 1860. Or, in other words, the fall was in “one day”
(year); as the 70 weeks of prophecy had a day for a year. Therefore the 42 Months was: AD 600-1860.
The “fall in one hour” (Rev 18.10) was: Sept 20, 1870.
And this was the “Fall of Babylon in One Day and in One Hour.” Both Bible and history book agree; besides many expositors. And the kingdom of the Ten Horns still rules over the Papal Rome today, being the Republic of Italy now. But it was founded by the Ten Horns.

MONKEY BUSINESS
“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits” - Mt 7.15-16.
Since we have begun to study Greek, and to employ an Analytical Greek Lexicon in Bible study, we have discovered many errors common to all translations of the Bible. These errors disagree with the Analytical Lexicon in the number of persons assigned to a noun, and in the verb tense, and in the definition of the Greek word under consideration. Whenever the text in the translations seems suspect we check it out.
“Simple, he believes to all of speaking and prudent he will understand to blessing” - Prov 14.15.
The men of God, in our youth, taught us that this means, “You cannot trust any earthly man any farther than you can throw him.” For this reason, we do not rely on any one Analytical Greek Lexicon, but consult several sources in our studies. The scholars of the Greek seem to be in harmony most of the time, but contrariwise, the translators of the Bible are at odds with these men of renown. Often this disregard for the true meaning of the Greek is intentional, as with the word “dip” (baptizo). When checking out various suspect texts in the translations, we have found that they are wrong more often than they are correct. This remark is limited to unclear parts of the Bible, or to “suspect texts.” The translations are all good enough to learn the basics of Iesous’ teaching (If you have the Holy Spirit!). We will observe a few of these errors.
1) 2 CORINTHIANS 3.7, 11, 13.
“... which glory was passing away ...” - 3.7.
“... which is passing away ...” - 3.11.
“... what was passing away” - 3.13.
The scholars of the Greek identify all three of these verb forms to be “present participles.” The translation above has two out of three verses translated improperly, but most translations have all three verses wrong. This is from the Pope. We seem to be encountering difficulty, or else unwillingness, to come out of the Dark Ages. The Pope has these errors for a good reason. He teaches that the law ended at the cross (Col 2.14), and the kingdom of God began on the day of Pentecost.
“For truly, I say to you, till ‘Heaven and Earth’ (Israel) pass away one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled” - Mt 5.18.
The law (see: Deut 28) was fulfilled when Israel was destroyed as a nation. The Lord Iesous was addressing the nation of Israel, while Paul (Col 2.14) was addressing the Gentiles only.
“... as under the law that I might win those under the law; to those without the law, as without law ... that I might win those without the law ...” - 1Cor 9.20-21.
Iesous and the apostles addressed three groups: Jews with the law (Mt 5.18), and Gentiles only,
without the law (Col 2.14), and mixed congregations of Jews and Gentiles (1Cor 9.20). In the verses under consideration (2Cor 3.7, 11, 13) the glory of Moses and the law “is passing away” (present participle); to be completed after the war with Rome (AD 66-74). The Pope teaches that the law ended at the cross, and Iesous said that it would end after the destruction of the nation of Israel. (Who to believe?) As for me and mine we will trust the Lord. Now let us observe the “sign of the Son of man” (Mt 24.30).
2) HEBREWS 9.8.
“... the Holy Spirit indicating this, that “The Way” (Iesous) into the Holiest of All (Third Heaven) is (was - KJV) not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle is (was - KJV) still standing.”
The scholars of the Greek must be weeping their hearts out! All their years of hard labor have been spent in vain, for none of the translators heed their advice. Again, this is a present participle, and we should substitute “is” for the two words translated “was” above. We do not want to seem repetitive, but this error is from the Pope. (The Rheims New Testament was the Catholic Bible from AD 1582.) The
“first” tabernacle” is defined in verse two to be the Holy Place, “in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread.” The verb “was” is Free Gratis from the translator. The message is that the Jews would become converted when the temple was destroyed, “not one stone shall be left here upon another”
(Mt 24.2 - #1); and then, “And I will pour on the house of David [Iesous] and on the inhabitants of [New]
Jerusalem the Spirit of favor and supplications; then they will look on Me whom they pierced” (Zec 12.10 - #2.) Paul stated the same prophecy like this, “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Rom 11.29 - #3). Once more from Paul, “And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again” (Rom 11.23 - #4). The churches today have two approaches to these verses: (1) They ignore them, or: (2) They teach that this will happen in our future. But the present participle (Heb 9.8) clears this all up. Now let us consider, “When comes the perfect.”
3) 1 CORINTHIANS 13.13.
“And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” - Error!
Once again, this is from the Pope, and the verb tense is wrong. (You must admit that he is consistent.) “Beware of false prophets!” The verb form “menei” is future tense. But the translations have a present tense verb! Besides that, this verb is the third person singular (he/she/it). This verb cannot have three subjects (faith, hope, love), and so we must seek the proper subject, and it must be in the third person singular. Peter described the writings of Paul, “in which are some things hard to understand”
(2Pet 3.16). Paul employed deviations from the subject, called “ellipses” today. An ellipsis is defined; “a leap or sudden passage without logical connectives from one topic to another.” (God designed the Bible to be hard to understand without the Holy Spirit; see: 1Cor 2.14). Allow us to suggest a couple of possible ellipses in the text under consideration. The first is quite long.
A) ELLIPSIS NUMBER ONE.
“And yet I show you a more excellent way. (...) Faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” - 1Cor 12.31, 13.13b.
Now we have separated the verb with a third person singular subject from the three subjects of the Pope (faith, hope, love). The earliest Greek manuscripts had no punctuation, and so, the punctuation is not a part of the Bible. As children of God, we are just as qualified to punctuate the manuscripts as anyone else; especially the Pope’s boys.
B) ELLIPSIS NUMBER TWO. The second ellipsis is contained within the first ellipsis. (No wonder it is confusing.) The first ellipsis was a jump from verse 12.31 to verse 13.13b. The second ellipsis is contained within this framework, and consists of verses 13.11 and 13.12. We will consider the connection from verse 13.10 to 13.13a, and ignore the ellipsis.
“Though I speak with the tongues of men (13.1) ... The Extreme Love she never fails. But whether prophecies, they will fail; or whether tongues, they will cease; or knowledge, it will vanish away. But we
know from part and we (apostles) prophesy from part. But when comes the perfect, then from part he will be done away. (13.8-10); [We will ignore the ellipsis for this lesson]. But now it (the perfect) is remaining (13.13a)...”
The prophesy “in part,” which is from the apostles, is in the neuter gender. The “perfect” is also neuter gender. Paul is prophesying the end of the apostles’ prophecy, and he is comparing it to the
“perfect” prophesy, which was yet to come (when Corinthians was written). When “comes the perfect,”
then “It will remain.” We know that Iesous is greater than the apostles, and we also know that His prophecy, the book of Revelation, came last. Therefore “after” Iesous’ Revelation the apostles’ prophecy, and tongues, and knowledge (supernatural) will fail/cease/vanish away. “Nevertheless now it (prophecy in part) is remaining.” But the immediate message about the apostles’ “prophecy in part ... is remainong”
would be ended in the future “when comes the perfect.” (Tell it to the churches!) Look at the complete list of gifts of the Holy Spirit that are symbolized by these three: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues (1Cor 12.8-10). These are listed again, so that we do not miss the point: apostles, prophets, teachers, miracles, healings, helps, administrations, and tongues (12.28). Other things missing today from the apostles’ teaching are: the destruction of Jerusalem, and the “coming of the Son of man ... in this generation” (Mt 24.29-34). That amounts to about 90 percent of the Jewish good message which “has been done away,” since Iesous came on the clouds. proper interpretation of Iesous’ Revelation; but, the churches do not believe in Revelation anymore. (4)
