Internet, cellphones, television, and computers can become a vice and make individuals forget important issues. Further, they cause pollution because of misuse of electricity and water.
E-mail is one the most outstanding examples of these technological advances since someone can get in touch with another person who is far away in a matter of seconds through it. Neither paper nor pen is needed. In fact, we don´t have to go to the post office since sending a letter is perceived as a waste of time nowadays. People save a lot of time and money in communicating with each other.

Tecnología
La tecnología suele ser útil, pero también puede tener algunas desventajas; muchas empresas están utilizando máquinas automáticas para mejorar su producción con precisión. Como resultado, mucha gente está perdiendo su trabajo. La tecnología crea dependencia en las personas.
Internet, los teléfonos celulares, la televisión y las computadoras pueden convertirse en un vicio y hacer que las personas se olviden de asuntos importantes. Además, causan contaminación debido al mal uso de la electricidad y el agua. El correo electrónico es uno de los ejemplos más destacados de estos avances tecnológicos ya que a través de él alguien puede ponerse en contacto con otra persona que se encuentra lejos en cuestión de segundos. No se necesita papel ni bolígrafo. De hecho, no tenemos que ir a la oficina de correos ya que enviar una carta hoy en día se percibe como una pérdida de tiempo. Las personas ahorran mucho tiempo y dinero al comunicarse entre sí.

El internet forma parte del día a día en nuestras vidas. Ya que con el hacemos cualquier cosa, desde compras, saber y aprender cosas. Por lo que mucha gente usa la Internet. Cabe señalar que no siempre es bueno ya que se utiliza mayormente 24 horas a la semana, o aproximadamente 3,4 horas cada día. Por lo que se ha vuelto más importante que la televisión, de igual manera se corren riesgos ya que no se sabe lo que es real o no, de los amigos que conoces en línea, las ventas como información y se ha convertido en algunas oportunidades en un canal para las estafas y robos.

Segundo condicional en inglés (second conditional) Uso
Usamos el segundo condicional para hablar de situaciones que son irreales en el presente; por lo tanto, podemos describirlas como imaginarias y es improbable que ocurran.
También es posible usar el segundo condicional para dar consejos; ejemplo:
If I were you, I would buy that house. (Si yo fuera usted, compraría esa casa).
Estructura
La estructura del segundo condicional tiene dos partes: 1. oración con IF y 2. Resultado.
1. Oración con IF:
En la frase con IF debemos usar el pasado simple de los verbos. Ejemplos:
a. If she worked as an actress (Si ella trabajara como actriz) b. If they visited us more often (Si ellos nos visitaran más seguido)
Si la oración con IF contiene el verbo TO BE en el segundo condicional casi nunca se usa WAS, sólo WERE, así:
c. If he were more tolerant (Si el fuera más tolerante)
2. Resultado:
En la oración de resultado usamos el verbo auxiliar WOULD para afirmativo y WOULDN’T para el negativo + la forma base de verbo. Ejemplos:
a. If she worked as an actress, she wouldn’t live in this town (Si ella trabajara como actriz, no viviría en este pueblo) b. If they visited us more often, we would be better friends. (Si ellos nos visitaran más seguido, seríamos mejores amigos) c. If he were more tolerant, he would have fewer problems. (Si el fuera más tolerante, tendría menos problemas)
