HITTING IT BIG
It seems to be commonly accepted nowadays that everyone wants to win the lottery, hit the slots big at the casino, or be a millionaire. This attitude is akin to what the first hearers of the parable of the successful farmer would have thought: Why, of course he’d want to find a way to preserve his good fortune for the future, to secure for himself a life of leisure, eating, drinking, and merriment. It’s exactly the kind of life that the right ticket, hand of cards, or quiz show answer might bring us today. Being surrounded by this “common wisdom” makes the words of Qoheleth, the psalmist, Paul, and Jesus all that much harder to hear today. Perhaps good fortune will be ours, perhaps it will not be. But if we make that fortune or the quest for it the heart, the very center, of our lives, then we will live to regret it. We will not achieve the future security we pursue, and we will lose the present moment in the chase.

Faith Formation Classes – for children who have never
been to catechism classes and children who after cele-brating their First Communion wish to continue their Faith Formation. For first time students please bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal and Birth Certificates.
Sacrament Preparation Classes (Penance and First
Communion) – Only for children in the 2nd. grade or above who have completed one year of Faith Formation and KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE SIGN OF THE CROSS AND KNOW THE BASIC PRAYERS SUCH AS: OUR FATHER, HAIL MARY, GLORY BE, ACT OF CONTRITION AND THE CREED. Children who do not know the prayers will be placed in Faith Formation Classes for one more year before entering the Sacrament Program. If your child does not know these prayers yet, please help him/her learn them by practicing prayer at home.
RCIC – For children and adolescents 7 – 17 years old
who have not been baptized.
Last day to register for Sacrament classes will be October 5, 2016.

CATEQUESIS PARA NIÑOS
Las Inscripciones para el año
2016 – 2017
comienzan el 8 de Agosto
Formación en la Fe – para niños que nunca han asistido
a clases de catequesis y niños que después de celebrar su Primera Comunión desean continuar su formación. Si es la primera vez que inscribe a sus hijos, debe traer consi-go una copia del Certificado de Bautismo y del Acta de Nacimiento (de cada niño).
Preparación para Sacramentos (Penitencia y Primera
Comunión) – Únicamente para niños en el segundo año escolar o más alto, que ya han completado un año de Formación en la Fe y saben COMO HACER LA SEÑAL DE LA CRUZ, y las oraciones básicas tales como: EL PADRE NUESTRO, EL AVE MARIA, EL GLORIA, ACTO DE CONTRICION Y EL CREDO.
Los niños que no sepan las oraciones tendrán que inscribirse en las clases de Formación en la Fe nuevamente y esperar al próximo año para ingresar al Programa de Sacramentos. Si su hijo/a aun no sabe estas oraciones por favor ayúdele a aprenderlas por medio de la práctica.
RICA – Para niños y adolescente de 7 a 17 años de edad
que aún no han sido bautizados.
El último día de inscripciones para las clases de Sacramentos será el 5 de Octubre, 2016
CUOTAS DE INSCRIPCION
Clases de Formación en la Fe - $40.00 por estudiante.(Un depósito de por lo menos $15.00 por estudiante es requerido al momento de inscripción y el resto se pagará después).
Clases de Preparación para la Primera Penitencia y Primera Comunión - $72.00 por estudiante del 8 de
Agosto hasta el 15 de Septiembre. Las inscripciones tar-días serán del 19 de Septiembre hasta el 5 de Octubre con un cargo adicional de $10.00.
Se requiere un depósito de por lo menos $32.00 por estudiante al momento de inscripción y el resto se pagará después.
