Lucas nos dice que fue uno de los discípulos, viendo cómo ora- ba Jesús, el que quiso saber cómo hacer lo mismo.
Podemos acercarnos a Dios como nos acercamos a un padre tierno. No es sólo Jesús quien le puede llamar “padre.” También nosotros podemos. Además, ese “nuestro” tiene un significado más pues la oración no es un acto individual. Vemos que debe- mos darle honra a Dios en todo momento (“santificado sea tu nombre”) y que debemos vivir como si estuviéramos delante de su trono (“Venga tu Reino”). El reconocimiento de Dios como nuestro padre santificado nos pone en la posición de pedir su bendición como hijos e hijas.
El Señor también sabe que necesitamos nuestro sustento diario (“El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy”). Además de ello, el Señor sabe que el pecado forma parte de nuestra realidad. Nece- sitamos el perdón, y eso no sólo una vez. Necesitamos tanto pan como perdón cada día. Solo podemos recibir perdón si estamos ofreciéndolo a los demás.
Jesús nos dice que debemos insistir en nuestra Oración:
“Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y se os abri- rá, porque todo aquel que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se le abrirá.” Y lo que recibimos de Dios siempre será bueno.

ROSARY GROUP (in person) — Our Parish Rosary group is a bilingual gathering, every first Saturday of the month, to pray the rosary and sing Marian hymns together. First Saturday devotions were first encouraged by Our Blessed Mother at Fatima.

WALKING WITH MOMS—Are you a new mom? Or do you know someone who has just had a
baby? Our parish would love to reach out to support them with a couple of meals. There are no requirements, no need to be a parishioner or low income.
Just a couple of meals to help make early days easier. If you know a new mom, please call the office and give us their name and phone number so we can set up a date for a “special delivery”!

PARISH SUMMER FUNFEST NEEDS In preparation for our summer funfest, which will take place from August 3-6, we are asking if parishioners are able to provide the following:
– Non-Perishable food (for our Grocery Stand)
– Glasses and cups in good condition (for our dime toss) – Lottery Tickets (for our Lottery Tree)
– Donations or just borrow from you: Little tykes cars and ride toys, tricycles & helmets (to use for our free kids section “Toddler Boulevard”)

The Adult Choirs of St. Teresa’s Parish are looking to grow our Ministry in praising God in song. Have you ever consid- ered joining the Choir? Have you sung before in other groups, or possibly always wanted to try it? The St. Teresa’s Choirs sing from September to June and are based at Resurrection at the 11:00 Mass, and St. Catherine’s at the 9:30 Mass. Practice is Tuesday evenings at 7:00. More details in future Bulletins and the date to begin in September.
HELP YOUR CHURCH TO GROW– We are always in need of new helpers in the Church and especially at Mass.
