¿Necesitamos ayunar una hora antes de la misa o una hora
an-tes de la comunión?
La práctica del ayuno antes de recibir la Eucaristía es un acto de devoción
centenario que alguna vez fue muy diferente de lo que es hoy.
En el Código de Derecho Canónico de 1917, por ejemplo, cualquier
persona que quisiera recibir la Eucaristía debía ayunar desde la
medianoche hasta la hora de la comunión (incluso el agua y los
medicamentos estaban prohibidos). Durante las décadas siguientes, las
reglas del ayuno eucarístico se relajaron, primero por el Papa Pío XII y,
más tarde, por el Papa San Pablo VI.
El actual Código de Derecho Canónico (1983) establece muy claramente:
“Quien va a recibir la Santísima Eucaristía debe abstenerse durante al
menos una hora antes de la sagrada comunión de cualquier alimento y
beber, excepto agua y medicinas ”(Canon 919, §1). Y, en el caso de los
enfermos y los ancianos, las reglas son aún más acomodaticias: “Los
ancianos, los enfermos y quienes los cuidan pueden recibir la Santísima
Eucaristía aunque hayan comido algo en la hora anterior.
”(Canon 919, §3).Entonces, si seguimos estrictamente la “letra de la ley”, el ayuno se
calcula a partir del momento de la Sagrada Comunión y no del comienzo
de la Misa. Sin embargo, cuando recordamos por qué ayunamos, es un
recordatorio de los apetitos más profundos del espíritu que simboliza
nuestra sed o hambre física - vemos que el problema es mucho más
grande que simplemente cumplir con lo que exige la Ley y la tradición de
la Iglesia. Unir el ayuno a nuestras oraciones y reflexión antes de la Misa
es una oportunidad para realmente centrarnos y preparar nuestras
mentes, corazones y cuerpos para recibir a Aquel que recibimos en la
Eucaristía.

VIVIR LA LITURGIA
Inspiración de la Semana
¡Aleluya! ¡Cristo ha resucitado! Acerca de la fiesta
de hoy, San Agustín escribe: “Y se fue de nuestra
vista para que pudiéramos regresar a nuestros
corazones y encontrarlo allí. Porque él nos dejó, y
he aquí, Él está aquí." La presencia resucitada de
Cristo vive no solo en las alturas de los cielos, sin o
también en el frágil corazón humano. La vida de
Cristo nos inspira y nos mueve a ver un futuro para
cada ser humano y descubrir nuestro verdadero
propósito y significado. Todo ser humano tiene el
deseo de vivir y este grito se puede escuchar en su
interior. Hay un anhelo de una conexión con Alguien
más grande que nosotros mismos que da una
importancia a nuestra existencia que no podemos
suplir. Hoy, nuestras preguntas más profundas
encuentran respuesta.

MEDITACIÓN EVANGÉLICO
Alentando el Entendimiento mas profundo de la Escritura
Domingo de Pascua
Nos narra el evangelio de hoy que: “El primer día después
del sábado, María Magdalena fue al sepulcro muy temprano,
cuando todavía estaba oscuro, y vio que la piedra que cerraba
la entrada del sepulcro había sido removida”. (Juan 20:1-2).
Triste y confundida por el dolor y sin ninguna esperanza debió
de haber llegado María Magdalena al sepulcro. Imagínese el
silencio de la mañana. Gozar sin saber ella que era el silencio
de la Pascua. Estar ahí de pie ante el sepulcro donde su
amado había sido puesto. Dejarse ella interrogar por lo que
ve. Abrir el corazón a la esperanza, a causa de un sepulcro
vacío. ¡María quiere encontrar al Señor! Ninguno de los tres
protagonistas de la escena ve al Señor todavía.
Tal como María, Pedro y el otro discípulo, debemos situarnos
en la mañana de la Pascua. Hemos sufrido tanto durante la
pandemia. Vacíos enormes se han tenido que llenar.
Cada familia, cada persona ha formado su camino de
búsqueda durante este tiempo. El Señor se deja encontrar.
Solo hay que buscarlo y seguirlo con el corazón disponible a
su encuentro. La Iglesia se inunda de alegría con Dios al
resucitar a Cristo de entre los muertos.
El mensaje de este Domingo de Pascua es que todos los
que sufren, saldrán vencedores. La muerte, ¿dónde está la
muerte? Ya no existe, los sepulcros son provisionales, son de
paso, quedarán vacíos al resucitar. Para entender todo esto
hay que entender la Escritura: “Él debía resucitar de entre los
muertos”. (Juan 20:9).

READINGS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 19, 2020
Have you ever experienced awe? Awe is commonly
defined as a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear
or wonder. A moment of awe has the ability to lift us up
out of ourselves and immerse us into something that
causes us to wonder about ourselves, the meaning of life,
and truth. Awe is an experience of connection that links us
to something that is beyond the normal happenings of life.
LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
For us who believe that the resurrected Christ is present in all of life and the totality of the universe, being touched by awe can lead us to exclaim, “My Lord and my God!” Pondering the vast-ness of God’s presence also brings us to a profound sense of God’s mercy, which is the showering of His unconditional love on each of His daughters and sons. When we internalize this mys-tery, we may find ourselves standing in awe once again and feel-ing an intense sense of peace.

GOSPEL MEDITATION
Encourage Deeper Understanding of Scripture
A person was going through a very dark time, questioning the meaning of life, not feeling very purposeful or worthwhile, and feeling disconnected and unappreciated. Suddenly, they gazed up at the night sky, found themselves in awe of all the stars and constellations, and exclaimed, “I am here on purpose and I am loved!” Having been brought by God to this moment of intense connection and awareness, his life changed from that moment on.
If we are always preoccupied with the challenges, obligations, and stuff of daily life, we can easily miss the wonderful opportunities when the resurrected Christ is knocking at our door. If we open ourselves to the fullness of experience, we will find ourselves listening and embracing all that is around us, being caught up in the magnificence of creation’s grandeur and knowing in our heart and soul that God is and I am. While that sounds like a simple, tell-me-something-I don’t-know kind of revelation, it is life changing when it takes root in the depth of a person’s soul. Stumbling upon this awesome truth and internalizing it doesn’t require an assent of the mind. It beckons for a claim on our soul. We find ourselves knowing something profound that cannot be explained or reasoned, but purely is. When we are caught up in an experience and encounter the truth, it doesn’t matter how all of the pieces got put together. Truth is simply truth. The “my Lord and my God” responses we utter are not evoked because all of the pieces of faith and life make reasonable sense. The “my Lord and my God” affirmations come when we are lifted up out of our preoccupations and silliness and are in the presence of mystery and mercy.
God is mystery, one who is beyond our grasp but at the same time within our reach, knowable yet unknowable. And when in the presence of mystery, there comes an intense experience of mercy. We know deep within the essence of ourselves — and in the very life of creation — this beating, unconditionally accepting, life-sustaining, profound, mysterious yet familiar presence of love. We have found our peace. “Peace be with you.” Breathe in and breathe out. Peace.

1. Acta de Nacimiento
2. Comprobante de Matrimonio Religioso de los Padrinos 3. Niños mayores de 7 años, tienen que ir a la formación del CCD
4. Pláticas de bautismo o comprobante 5. No niños en las pláticas.
6. Llegar puntual. Si alguien llega tarde al sacramento, se recorre para la siguiente semana.
7. Tenemos que tener todos los requisitos mínimo 2 semanas antes de la fecha que aparto. Sin documentos no podemos registrar.
Requisitos para Primera Comunión:
1. Tener su comprobante de Bautizo 2. Debe tener al menos 6 años cumplido o estar en el grado 1 de la escuela.
Requisitos para Confirmación:
1. Tener su comprobante de Bautizo y Primera Comunión. 2. Deben tener al menos 14 anos o estar en grado 9 de la
escuela
Requisitos para Quinceañeras:
1. Tener los Sacramentos de Bautizo, Primera Comunión y estar inscrita en el programa de Confirmación. 2. Separar la fecha al menos 6 meses de anticipación.
Proceso y requisitos para tramite de Bodas:
Documentos con fecha reciente, no mas de un año 1. Acta de Bautismo.
2. Acta de Confirmación.
3. Los que ya están casados por lo civil traer copia del acta de la boda.
4. Los que no están casados por lo civil ir a la corte 20 días antes de la boda y pedir una licencia de matrimonio y traerla a la oficina.
5. Pedir cita con el Sacerdote, mínimo 6 meses antes de separar la fecha.
6. Reunión con el Sacerdote donde se fijara el día de la Boda, se pedirán los documentos y se definirá la ceremonia que quiera la pareja.
7. Nueva cita con el Padre para traer los documentos y llenar las formas.
8. La oficina les llamara para la cita para el ensayo.
9. Una semana antes los contrayentes tienen que confesarse para que puedan recibir la comunión el día de su boda. 10. Para el día de la misa, necesitara Coro, que será respon-sabilidad de la pareja buscar el adecuado a sus deseos.
Unción de los enfermos
1. Llamar al Sacerdote cuando la persona este en peligro de muerte.
Baptism Requirements:

Quinceañeras Requirements
1. Have the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and be enrolled in the Confirmation program. 2. Set the date at least 6 months in advance.
Wedding Requirements:
Recent documents, no more than one year

Those who are not civilly married go to court 20 days be-fore the wedding and ask for a marriage license and bring it to the office.5.

Meeting with the Priest where the wedding day will be fi-xed, the documents will be requested and the cere-mony that the couple wants will be defined.7.
New appointment with the Father to bring the documents and fill out the forms.8.
The office will call you to schedule the appointment for the rehearsal.9.
A week before the contracting parties have to confess so that they can receive communion on their wedding day.10.
