Jesus promises us peace. This peace is realized when new relationships are established among people when the desire to compete, dominate, and be first, gives way to service and selfless love. Christian communities are the place where all people can be an example of his peace.
The language used by the rabbis ex- plains the affirmation about the infe- riority of Jesus concerning the Fa- ther. They spoke of superiority and inferiority to distinguish the One sent from the One who sends Him.
As long as he is in the world and has not completed his mission until he returns to the Father, Jesus is ‘the inferior,’ that is, the one sent by the Father.

Altar Society
We are in need of volunteers to help prepare the Church for our weekend masses.
This entails dusting the main altar area, the side entrances, the sacristy and the pews. On occasion, special donation
envelopes need to be placed in the pews. You will not be required to do any mopping, vacuuming or windows. We are hoping to get enough volunteers so that each person does this only once a month and it takes approximately one and a half hours. We will provide all the cleaning supplies. We welcome women, men, couples, our parish organizations and young people 18 years of age & older. This is a call for you to serve your Church in a meaningful way that benefits all of us who attend La Purisima.
If interested, please see us at the vestibule after mass or call the Pastoral Center, leave your name and number with the secretary and you will receive a call back.

Sociedad de Altar Necesitamos voluntarios que preparen la Iglesia para las misas del Sábado y Domingo.

Divine Mercy
The Divine Mercy group is dedicated to the Sacred heart of Jesus and the Divine Mercy.
Our next prayer service will be held on Friday, May 27th at 3:00PM, then every Friday of the month thereafter. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be said, followed by the rosary. This will be a bi-lingual service. We hope you will attend this special devotion in honor of Jesus, in whom we trust.
