My children could never succeed without their mother and me. That isn't me thinking too much of ourselves, it is just a fact. No one can find success in life in total isolation.
I could never have become who I am today without my parents, various teachers and mentors, and my wife. Truth be told, I probably owe a lot of who I am to my children as well.
I can only imagine the fear and concern of the first disciples when it was apparent that Jesus was not going to be with them much longer. Some probably thought since Jesus had risen from the dead, he might just live with them in the same way forever. But Jesus tried to calm their fears by assuring them, "I will not leave you orphans." He said he would continue to come to them and that he would send the Spirit to be with them at all times. They would not have to continue what he had started and preach the good news to the ends of the earth on their own.
We may sometimes feel that we are alone. We may at times try to do too much or show others that we are inde- pendent and strong. However, without the help of others, without the help of God, true success will always elude us.
Our actions and words can become empty. The gifts we have received can either be cultivated in secret and in the shadows, or we can welcome the help that God provides in his Spirit, his community, and the sacraments he gave us.
By working together the world will truly know the power of the risen Lord.
Mis niños nunca podrían tener éxito sin la ayuda mía ni la de su mama. No es que piense que somos gran cosa, sino que es la realidad. Nadie puede ser exitoso viviendo una vida aislado de los demás. Yo no podría ser quien soy sin la ayuda de mis padres, mis maestros o sin mi esposa.
De hecho, mis hijos también tienen gran influencia.
Solo me puedo imaginar el miedo de los discípulos cuando se dieron cuenta de que Jesús ya no iba estar con ellos. Unos debieron haber pensado que después de la Re- surrección, mejor Jesús se hubiera quedado entre ellos.
Pero Jesús les trataba de calmar sus miedos, "No los de- jaré desamparados". Les aseguró que él continuaría a visi- tarlos y que mandaría al Espíritu Santo a que esté con ellos. No tendrían que continuar lo que él había empezado o predicar la buena nueva al fin del mundo por sí mismos.
De vez en cuando podemos sentirnos solos, y hasta a veces podemos tratar de hacer demasiado para mostrar que somos independientes y fuertes. Sin embargo, sin la ayuda de los demás y sin la ayuda de Dios, el éxito verda- dero nunca será de nosotros. Nuestras acciones y palabras podrían hacerse vacías. Nuestros dones serían un secreto.
O podemos darle la bienvenida a la ayuda que nos da Dios a través de su Espíritu, su comunidad y los sacramentos.
Podemos aprender el poder del Señor trabajando juntos.

You know when you meet someone and you are trying to figure out how their family fits together? Well, in today's readings, Christ and the Apostles are trying to teach us how The Father, Son and Holy Spirit all work in our lives.
The readings are very rich in their teachings and share with us how our lives can be enriched through the gifts that are given to us through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These gifts give us courage to do good and live Jesus' command to love.
Take time this week to reflect on the gifts of the Spirit and ask for the courage to act on them. Then love as Jesus loved. Your actions will show that he remains in you and you remain in him. Actions speak louder than words.

Thank you 7AM CHOIR for the donation of sandwiches for our guests. We celebrated our women guests for Mother's Day on Saturday. What a wonderful gathering of ladies. The men guests were aware that on this day the women were being hon- ored and they stepped aside and allowed the women to receive their lunches and produce first even though they were first.
The women were served a hot sit down meal, special made just for them mini decorated bunt cakes and a gift reversi- ble hand crafted cloth shopping bag filled with hand and nail supplies donated and made by
"Aunt Helen". Mr. Rincon brought beautiful fresh flowers and Celeste answered our call for help and came and made beautiful floral arrangements for the tables that the women took home.
Praise God our provider.
Truly the S.H.A.R.E Ministry is the apple of God's eye He sent his wingless angels and saints ministry leader Azalie, volun- teers Alana and niece Glory and when Alana saw we were alone and needed more helping hands she called her husband and nephew to come and on their way they picked up Celeste and brought her to do the flowers, Concepcion, Melaine and her son Mykhair T, Mariana, Becky who also made bread pudding for the lunch bags, Denilia and Carole all shared in making this celebration so special. We are grateful and humbly apprecia- tive for all these sacrifices and blessings of compassion and support. Amen.

There was a form in the bulletin that is to be filled out by the parent and returned for the grade and middle school students TO THE PC OFFICE BY MAY 15, 2017 if your child and family are plan- ning to attend the mass and the reception in the Placita area after mass.

Pre-Pentecost Bi-lingual Retreat With Fr. Stan Bosch, S.T., Psy.D.
Dear Parish Family,
We will have a pre-Pentecost retreat on May 27 facili- tated by Fr. Stan Bosch, who will offer us an opportunity to prepare ourselves for the feast of Pentecost, the birthday of the Church, which takes place on Sunday June 4. Fr Stan will explore with us the gifts of the Holy Spirit and will lead us in prayers to welcome these gifts for ourselves, our fami- lies and our parish. We will have interactive conversation as well as quiet reflection time. Liturgy will be celebrated at
5:30 followed by a parish pot luck dinner.So mark your calendars for Saturday afternoon May 27 from 1:30 through 7:30 pm.
Registration fee is by donation plus whatever food you can bring for our break time and pot luck dinner. You can RSVP at Pastoral Center office, letting them know the number attending, by Friday May 26. Any questions you have you can email to:

Prayer for St. Agatha's Festival 2017
Loving Father, we humbly ask you for a successful and safe St. Agatha's Festival on the second week- end of June.
We ask you to protect everyone who will be coming to our Festival, especially the children. May they enjoy and have fun safely and without harm.
We ask you for all the families attending our Festival, may they be an image of the Holy Family as they enjoy the rides, live music, food, and games. May the families be more united by attending our festival through smiles, laughter, and joyful shouts :)
May all the volunteers provide their service with love, pride, and excitement at our Festival. May they return home safe and may their time, gifts and talents be multiplied by your abundant generosity.
We ask you for a special blessing for all the parishioners who are coordinating the Festival. May they be blessed throughout their lives as leaders and as the disciples of your Son Jesus.
Finally, we ask you, St. Agatha, to intercede for us, so that our Festival reunites our Parish Family and reignites the Holy Spirit in our members, our community, and our neighborhood. St. Agatha, we ask for your faith, patience, strength, and courage so that we may have a fun and joyful Festival.
