The language school Die AkADemie was founded in 1998.

Die AkADemie is an international school with participants from many different countries!

The school is situated near the cathedral so it has a perfect situation in the centre of Palma. Among many little cafes the old town also offers historic charm as well as our schoolhouse of the sixteenth century, the domicile of Majorca’s upper class in former times. Our teachers are academics, come especially from the continent and dispose of long teaching experience in the sector Spanish as foreign language. As our teachers also use parts of the method of the suggestopedia, a new form of learning, progress in learning can fast be achieved.

American doctors called this method “superlearning”. On this base the most important of the teaching methods of our tutors, who are native speakers, is conversation and the understanding of the foreign language. The lessons concentrate on being practical and near on life besides they introduce the participants playfully in the other language.

In an audio-visual room can be relaxed playing classic music and melodic sentences while the knowledge is repeated and internali-sed. This phase of relaxation is efficient for the faster learning of the language (but is almost only used in the lower courses).

BeGinnerS` CourSe

This course introduces in the Spanish language and culture. You are going to learn basic clauses of communication and an initial understanding for the Spanish language and its structure (first basic vocabularies, grammatical introduction: Present, figure of speech and possessive pronouns)

You are able to communicate using present, read clauses and un-derstand questions.

BASiC CourSe i

In this course level you obtain a good basis of the Spanish lan-guage (important vocabularies, grammatical introduction: Simple past (Preterito Perfecto), irregular verbs and reflexive verbs). You can already talk using present and simple past.

BASiC CourSe ii

This continuative level is especially also a possibility for recapitu-lating the before obtained knowledge, as well as a continuation. Among new vocabularies the participants deal with the different forms of the past (Indefenido vs. Imperfecto) and Futuro Simple (and the Futuro Proximo).

You can handle with different tenses and use them in conversa-tions and texts.

This course can be repeated optionally!

intermeDiAte CourSe i

This level concentrates on enlarging your grammar and vocabula-ry knowledge and speaking more fluently. (Grammar: Repetition of some old tenses, e.g. of the different past forms and deepening of the future forms, introduction in subjuntivo presente and in the Intermediate Course II also advanced subjuntivo, accusative-dative-forms and personal forms of verbs).

ADvAnCeD CourSe

Main objective of the course is to perfect your ability to commu-nicate. (Grammar: Subjuntivo, conjunctive, imperative).

Learn playfully to you express yourself in the foreign language. Newspaper articles, topics of conversation and repetition of the whole grammar are contents of this level.

The Spanish standard course that are 0 hours a week is one of our most popular course. The course starts every Monday to Friday approx. At 9:0 am.

The individual course is flexible, the participant can choose the number and duration of sessions according to their own preferences.

Our Superlearning-Method is suitable for linguistic training of adults as well as children and juveniles.

With the interactive presentation of your teacher you and your children are able to hear, see and feel the language more inten-sive, which guarantees a higher learning success.

The individually organized lessons contribute as well to it, as every family has their private teacher.

You can integrate the Family-Course easily into your holiday plans and it enables you to experience your vacation completely different.

A-School Apartment

We can arrange accommodation for the duration of your Spanish course or holidays in Palma de Mallorca if required. You will stay in our school apart-ment in Palma.

The apartment is centrally located in the historical Old Town of Palma de Mallorca. It can easily be reached by public transport and the coast is only a 1 min. walk away.

B-host Families

We can arrange an accommodation for the duration of your Spanish course

or holidays in Palma de Mallorca if required. All host families are carefully

selected by our team.

Host families also provide the perfect opportunity to practice what has been learnt in the classroom. You can also learn about the Spanish way of life and their customs.

You can choose between three options for the host family stay: - Self catering, single or double room.

- B & B (Bed and Breakfast), single or double room and a private Bath.

- Half board, single room including two meals: breakfast and dinner.

All our families live close to the school and you can get there either by foot or in less than 0 minutes by bus.

Therefore it is very important that you let us know if you have any special requirements that need to be taken into consideration for your host family placement.

The host family placement confirmation will be sent to you about one week in advance and will give you a brief description about the host family (occu-pation, children, pets, smoker/non smoker).

For A and B accommodation options:

Your accommodation will be available from 1.00 on Sunday before you start your course until 1.00 on Saturday after your course has finished. You may stay extra days, paying the proportional amount extra.
