Confirmación / adolescentes primera Comunión Requisitos para
Espíritu Santo Comunidad Católica 2015-2016
1. Asistir a misa los domingos y días de precepto. (Formulario No. 1 )
La Iglesia Católica Romana enseña que tenemos la obligación de asistir a misa los domingos y días de precepto. No voy a hacer el seguimiento de quien asiste a la masa y quién no. Al final del año, se pedirá a los padres que firmen una carta de verificación de que su hijo / hija ha asistido a misa los domingos y días de precepto. Si los padres optan por mentir en este formulario, es entre ellos y Dios. La forma de la asistencia a misa se debe 3 de abril.
2. Ir a la confesión durante el Adviento y la Cuaresma.
La Iglesia alienta firmemente la participación regular en el sacramento de la Confesión, especialmente durante el Adviento y la Cuaresma o antes de recibir otro sacramento, como la confirmación o el
matrimonio. Se espera que todos los adolescentes que recibieron la confirmación o la primera comunión este año para asistir a la confesión antes de recibir el sacramento de la confirmación. Me gustaría que los adolescentes para asistir a los servicios de conciliación de la parroquia (durante el Adviento o Cuaresma). También se les anima a asistir también la confesión durante el tiempo regular de la confesión los sábados (3: 45-4:45).
3. Asistir a Miércoles de Ceniza, Jueves Santo y Viernes Santo Servicios.
Estos días no son días de precepto, sino que son servicios muy importantes en la vida de un católico practicante. Se espera que todos los adolescentes que recibieron la confirmación o la primera comunión a asistir.
4. Servicio (Formulario No. 2)
Todos los adolescentes deben ayudar con 2 de las oportunidades de servicio este año. Deben planear en ayudar todo el tiempo, no sólo por un par de horas. Las fechas se darán a conocer. Una vez que se complete el servicio, los adolescentes tendrán que completar su informe de servicio y convertirlo en el o antes del 03 de abril. Si los adolescentes quieren hacer algo más por sus horas de servicio, entonces tendrá que ser aprobado por mí.

5. Asistir a clase
Los adolescentes están obligados a estar en domingo clase de confirmación que coincidirá con las clases de Catequesis de padres cada mes. Los adolescentes sólo se permiten 1 ausencia durante todo el año!!! Si pierden 2 clases no recibirán Confirmación o Primera Comunión.
Confirmation/Teen 1st Communion Requirements for Holy Spirit Catholic
Community 2015-2016
1. Attend mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. (Form #1)
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that we have an obligation to attend mass on Sundays and Holy days of obligation. I will not be keeping track of who attends mass and who does not. At the end of the year, parents will be asked to sign a letter verifying that their son/daughter has attended mass on Sundays and Holy days of obligation. If parents choose to lie on this form, that is between them and God. The Mass Attendance form is due April 3rd.
2. Go to confession during Advent and Lent.
The Church strongly encourages regular participation in the sacrament of Confession, especially during Advent and Lent or prior to receiving another sacrament such as confirmation or marriage. All teens receiving confirmation or 1st communion this year are expected to attend confession prior to receiving the sacrament of confirmation. I would like the teens to attend the parish reconciliation services (during Advent or Lent). They are also encouraged to also attend confession during regular confession time on Saturdays (3:45-4:45).
3. Attend Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday Services.
These days are not holy days of obligation but they are VERY important services in the life of a practicing Catholic. All teens receiving confirmation or 1st communion are expected to attend.
4. Service (Form #2)
All teens must help with 2 of the service opportunities this year. They must plan on helping the entire time, not just for a couple hours. The dates will be announced. Once service is completed, teens will need to complete their service report and turn it in on or before April 3rd. If teens want to do something else for their service hours then it will have to be approved by me.

5. Attend Class
Teens are required to be at Sunday confirmation class which will coincide with the parent Catechesis classes every month. Teens are only allowed 1 absence for the whole year!!! If they miss 2 classes
they will not receive confirmation or 1st communion.
Parents are also required to attend the Parent Catechesis classes. You are the primary educator for your children.
6. Asistir a Grupo Juvenil
Se espera que los adolescentes para asistir a la noche del domingo reuniones de jóvenes. Las clases a prepararse para el sacramento; grupo de jóvenes les prepara para vivir como católico por el resto de su vida. Los jóvenes que tienen una experiencia de fe (como grupo de jóvenes) son 3 veces más
probabilidades de permanecer católica en la edad adulta. 7. Patrocinador (Formulario No. 3)
Todos los adolescentes tienen que elegir uno de los patrocinadores. Formas Patrocinador se deben a la clase el 6 de diciembre. Si no se activan en el momento en que su hijo o hija se verán obligados a esperar otro año para la confirmación o la primera comunión. Los patrocinadores deben ser católicos practicantes mayores de 16 años que han recibido el sacramento de la confirmación. Ellos no pueden ser padres, pero pueden ser otros miembros de la familia. La Iglesia recomienda, pero no requiere el uso de Bautismal Dios Padres. Habrá una reunión para todos los patrocinadores en algún momento después de diciembre. Se requiere que todos los patrocinadores para asistir. Si un patrocinador no puede hacerlo, un padre puede venir en su lugar.
8. Nombre Santo y informe. (Formulario No. 4) (CONFIRMACIÓN SOLAMENTE)
Confirmandos elegirán un nombre santo para su confirmación. Ellos tendrán que responder a las preguntas en el formulario de memoria santo y convertirlo en el 10 de enero.
9. Carta del Obispo (CONFIRMACIÓN SOLAMENTE)
Confirmandos va a escribir una carta al obispo que expresa su deseo de ser confirmados. Las cartas son 7 de febrero debido. Las cartas deben ser claras y legibles. En la carta, los adolescentes deben expresar su deseo de recibir el sacramento, dígale al obispo un poco acerca de sí mismos (escuela, aficiones, familia), mencionar una cosa que aprendieron este año en el grupo de jóvenes y mencionan por qué eligió su nombre santo.
10. Retiros.
Se requieren los adolescentes para asistir a un retiro de arrendamiento, ya sea al retiro de otoño
(octubre 24-25) o ICYC (Idaho convención juventud católica marzo 4-6). Ambos retiros requieren el pago de una cuota de inscripción. ICYC es alrededor de $ 100 y la retirada otoño es por lo general alrededor de $ 30. Comience a ahorrar dinero ahora para estos retiros
11. Oraciones

6. Attend Youth Group
Teens are expected to attend Sunday night youth meetings. The classes prepare them for the
sacrament; youth group prepares them to live as a Catholic for the rest of their life. Youth who have a faith experience (such as youth group) are 3 times more likely to stay Catholic into adulthood.
7. Sponsor (Form #3)
All teens need to choose a sponsor. Sponsor forms are due at class on December 6th. If they are not turned in on time your son or daughter will be forced to wait another year for confirmation or first communion. Sponsors must be practicing Catholics over the age of 16 who have received the sacrament of confirmation. They cannot be parents but they can be other family members. The Church
recommends, but does not require, the use of Baptismal God Parents. There will be a meeting for all sponsors sometime after December. All sponsors are required to attend. If a sponsor cannot make it, a parent can come in their place.
8. Saint Name and report. (Form #4) (CONFIRMATION ONLY)
Confirmands will choose a saint name for confirmation. They will need to answer the questions on the saint report form and turn it in by January 10th.
9. Letter to the Bishop (CONFIRMATION ONLY)
Confirmands will write a letter to the bishop expressing their desire to be confirmed. Letters are due February 7th. Letters should be neat and legible. In the letter, teens should express their desire to receive the sacrament, tell the Bishop a little bit about themselves (school, hobbies, family), mention one thing they learned this year in youth group and mention why they chose their saint name.
10. Retreats.
Teens are required to attend at lease one retreat, either the fall retreat (Oct 24-25) or ICYC (Idaho catholic youth convention March 4-6). Both retreats require paying a registration fee. ICYC is around $100 and the Fall retreat is usually around $30. Start saving money now for these retreats.
11. Prayers
Students will need to know the standard Catholic/Christian prayers. These include the Apostle’s creed, the prayer to St. Michael, Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. They may recite them in English or Spanish. They will be tested on these prayers during their interview at the end of the year. (prayers are listed at the end of this document)
12. Interviews
All teens are required to have a confirmation or 1st communion interview. These will be held on Sunday morning March 13th.
13. Hoja de trabajo Evangelio. (Formulario No. 5)
Los adolescentes necesitan para completar una hoja de trabajo Evangelio. Yo FUERTEMENTE animo a las familias a hacer estos juntos como una familia. Podríamos toda la ventaja de pasar algún tiempo junto como una familia pasando por uno de los Evangelios. Estos se deben 13 de marzo.
14. Certificado de Bautismo
Usted debe entregar una copia de su certificado de bautismo a más tardar el 1 de noviembre. Pueden ser entregados a la oficina de la Iglesia durante el horario normal o dados a Tim domingos por la noche. Si no se presenta en una copia de su certificado de bautismo de 01 de noviembre, no se le haya
confirmar / recibir primera comunión.

13. Gospel Worksheet. (Form #5)
Teens need to complete a Gospel worksheet. I STRONGLY encourage families to do these together as a family. We could all benefit from spending some time together as a family going through one of the Gospels. These are due March 13th.
14. Baptismal Certificate
You must turn in a copy of your baptismal certificate no later than November 1st. They can be turned in to the Church office during normal business hours or given to Tim on Sunday nights. If you do not turn in a copy of your baptism certificate by November 1st, you will not be confirmed/receive 1st communion.
