PRAYER SERVICE AT THE GARDEN OF THE INNOCENTS
The Respect Life Ministry would like to invite you to the Blessing of the Garden of the
Innocents. The blessing will take place after the 10:30am and 12:30pm Masses on Sunday,
October 24th. You will be given an opportunity to place the name of an innocent, who lost their life too early, on a rock which will be placed in the garden to honor and remember them. You will also have the opportunity to pick up a free Respect Life ministry rosary handmade by the St. Margaret Mary rosary makers. Please join us for this event.

Please join us for a nine-part series of respect life classes Monday nights from Oct 18 – Dec 27 (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks) from 7 PM – 9 PM in the Benish Center. The series will feature video testimonies and discussions from various experts and pro -life speakers including well known speakers Jason Evert, Stephanie Gray, Patricia Sandoval, Father Gregory J. O’Meara and more. Class discussion will help us delve into the issues presented. Included in this series will be:
· Made in His Image and Likeness
· The Legacy of Pain from Abortion, Compassion and Mercy
· The History of Legalized Abortion
· How to Answer Arguments for Abortion
· The Case for NFP and the Science of Contraception and How it Affects the Body, the Soul and the Environment
· Euthanasia and Physician Assisted Suicide
· The Death Penalty
Class size is limited to the first 20 people who sign up.

of God and his people throughout the Old Testament. In Christ, we see the sacrificial love of God who lays down his life for his bride. And in the Eucharist, we participate in the wedding feast of the lamb; the eternal wedding banquet of heaven.
Christ’s death on the cross demonstrates the self-sacrifice that unifies God with his people and husbands with their wives. We see love outpoured and new life given. The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us “It is by
following Christ, renouncing themselves, and taking up their crosses that spouses will be able to ‘receive’ the original meaning of marriage and live it with the help of Christ (CCC 1615).”
The witness of marriage is an outward sign of the eternal love of God, and our journey toward eternal life with him. If you are married, in what way do you and your spouse demonstrate God’s love to each other? If you are not married, in what ways do you demonstrate God’s love to your neighbor?
AÑO DE LA IGLESIA DOMÉSTICA
El testimonio del matrimonio es testimonio del amor que Cristo tiene por su novia, la Iglesia. Desde el comienzo hasta el fin de la escritura, vemos la importancia del matrimonio. Vemos el matrimonio, la unión de Dios y su gente a través del Viejo Testamento. En Cristo, vemos el amor sacrificial de Dios que da su vida por su novia. Y en la Eucaristía, participamos del banquete nupcial del cordero; el eterno banquete nupcial del cielo.
La muerte de Cristo en la cruz demuestra el sacrificio de sí mismo que une a Dios con su gente y a los esposos con sus esposas. Vemos el derrame de amor y la nueva vida dada. El Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica nos dice
"Siguiendo a Cristo, renunciando a sí mismos, tomando sobre sí sus cruces, los esposos podrán comprender el sentido original del matrimonio y vivirlo con la ayuda de Cristo (CCC 1615)".
El testimonio del matrimonio es un signo externo del amor eterno de Dios, y nuestro viaje hacia la vida eterna con Él.
