Jesus Christ is risen! Jesus Christ is alive!

Jesus Christ is with us and in us! And now it is our mis-sion to bring Jesus Christ risen, alive, and in us, into the world. Today our life begins again. Everything is new. Jesus Christ has risen to give us his risen life—so that the love between Jesus and God—so that the

resurrec-on power of love that raised Jesus from the dead—is now inside of us.

That means we have the power to transform our suffering and death into love and life. We are never going to be afraid of suffering and death ever again. How is that possible? It’s possible because from now on, when we suffer, and even when we die, we are go-ing to know that it is only temporary—because we are going to live forever. And we are going to know it is for the glory of God. It means that from now on when we suffer, and even when we die, we are going to offer it up, together with Jesus Christ’s suffering and death for the forgiveness of sins and for the salva on of the world. We are on a mission together with Jesus for the glory of God.

Why? Because every me we suffer it gives us the op-portunity to keep loving, believing, and trus ng in God. Every me we feel abandoned and we say “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” we have the opportunity join with Jesus and say “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” And that’s not all. The resurrec on power of Jesus Christ’s love will give us the power to resist tempta on and overcome sin, the power to love and obey God, and the power to love and forgive those who offend us. In other words, now we have the power to bring God’s love to life, in the world.

Look around you. The resurrec on is happening all around us. When a child is bap zed, Jesus Christ comes alive again. When a convert is received into the Church, Jesus Christ comes alive again. When someone confess-es their sins and the words of absolu on are said, Jconfess-esus Christ comes alive again. When thousands of people receive Holy Communion, Jesus Christ who has been sacrificed on the altar enters into the tomb of their hearts, and Jesus Christ comes alive again.

We may not feel anything. That is the way grace works. But Jesus Christ does come to life inside of us. Just look at what happened to the apostles. Before the

resurrec-on, they were cowards who betrayed, denied and abandoned Jesus. But a er the resurrec on, they be-came fearless martyrs who lived and died for Jesus Christ.

And what is the real miracle of the resurrec on? The real miracle of the resurrec on is us—because we are going to become the Risen Christ for others. That is our resurrec on mission.

We will bring the resurrec on power of Jesus Christ’s love to anyone who needs it. Jesus said so himself be-fore he ascended into heaven: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

That is great news. Knowing that should make us smile. Now we have a way to make sure we are going to live forever. We just have to let Jesus Christ who is risen and alive, work in and through us to bring the

resurrec-on power of his love to others. Now we can help oth-ers so they too can live forever. Let us walk together into all the dark places where there is sin, injus ce, poverty and suffering, and bring to whoever we find, the resurrec on power of Jesus Christ’s love.

Tal vez no sentimos nada.
