the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with the Holy Hour at 7:00PM, the celebration will be in charge of the Parents of Family and the Group of St. Joseph.
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS (18 years and over)
Registrations are open, classes will start on August, 2021. Candidates to the sacrament must successfully complete the induction session to the sacrament, followed by the eight (8) sacrament preparation sessions. For a total of nine (9) weeks. It is required that you bring all
documents asked below at the moment of registration.
Requirements: • Birth Certificate.
• Recent Certificate of baptism.
• Recent Certificate of First Communion.

Blessed Sacrament Parish and its Pastor Rev. Gabriel J. Toro R. call all Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to a full ministerial meeting, next
Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in the Bishop Valero Hall at 7:00 PM, to register active and new ministers of these
two ministries and to define service schedules. Ministers who have not been contacted by phone for the meeting, please come to the parish office and register for it. We count on your attendance, which is mandatory.

The parish is continually in need of new Ministers or Volunteers. If you are an active member of our community and you already have made the three Sacraments of initiation you can help and serve as a Minister of Communion, Hospitality, Lector and Catechist. Please inform us of your willingness and availability at the parish office by bringing identification and leaving your name, address and phone number at the parish office.

says the Lord;
whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ “Corpus Christi”. For our Catholic Church, it is a feast to be kept, therefore, as Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Christians, we have the obligation to attend Holy Mass. But beyond a celebration, this solemnity speaks to us of Prophecy, the Incarnation, new life and the defeat of death and sin, through the Sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we look at the mystery of the Redemption itself, prophesied, as the first reading tells us, in which Moses gives the people the laws to be followed in the Covenant of God with his people, which is confirmed by the blood of the sacrifice. In the letter to the Hebrews, we find that the sacrifice of blood purified on the outside, therefore many victims were needed; but when Christ arose as the victim of sacrifice, He consolidated Himself as the only valid offering in the eyes of God, with His Blood, He acquired us for the Father, and washing us in it, He purified us from the interior of our soul, making us new men.
In the Gospel of Mark, Christ unveils at the Last Supper the ultimate culmination of the Eucharist, “Take and eat this is my body, take and drink this is my blood”, with it, He calls all Christianity to unite in one Eucharistic Body, of which He, as High Priest, is the head that governs all the members of His Church.
My little children, with the certainty of adoring the living and true God, let us unite in prayer on this blessed day, for our Blessed Sacrament parish in its 92 years of existence, so that the Holy Spirit may continue to sustain it, and just as the Trinitarian Family of heaven loves and complements each other, let us do the same, so that as brothers, we may support parish programs, brotherhood, ecclesial communion, and filial love for the priests of our parish.
Let’s ask God’s blessing for the entire parish community of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, as well as for all the Pastors, Administrators, Vicars and Deacons who have served throughout these 92 years of history of our beloved Blessed Sacrament Parish, and let us celebrate with joy its birthday.
With my love and blessing I remind you that on June 12, we will remember the fathers and grandfathers who have passed away and on June 13, we will celebrate the life of the fathers and grandfathers who are still living among us.
God bless you and thank you for the prayers that you raise to heaven for my health, your prayers are a balsam that relieves the illness that afflicts me as well as the sadness of not being able to be with you, my beloved sheep of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.

“Yo soy el pan vivo que ha bajado del cielo,
dice el Señor;
el que coma de este pan vivirá para siempre.”
Hoy celebramos la solemnidad del Cuerpo y la sangre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo llamada “Corpus Christi”. Para nuestra Iglesia Católica, es una fiesta de guardar, por lo tanto, como cristianos católicos, apostólicos y romanos, tenemos la obligación de asistir a la Santa Misa. Pero más allá de una celebración, esta solemnidad nos habla de la Profecía, de la Encarnación, de la nueva vida y de la derrota de la muerte y el pecado, por el Sacrificio de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Hoy miramos el misterio mismo de la Redención, profetizado como nos lo dice la primera lectura en la cual Moisés da al pueblo las leyes que se deben seguir en la Alianza de Dios con su pueblo, la cual es confirmada con la sangre del sacrificio. Así mismo en la carta a los hebreos, encontramos que el sacrificio de sangre que relata el Éxodo, tan solo purificaba por fuera, por ello se necesitaban muchas víctimas; pero al levantarse Cristo como víctima de Sacrificio se consolido como la única ofrenda valida a los ojos de Dios, con su sangre, Él, nos adquirió para el Padre y lavándonos en ella, nos purifico desde el interior de nuestra alma, haciéndonos hombres nuevos.
En el Evangelio de Marcos, Cristo desvela en la última cena el máximo culmen de la Eucaristía, “Tomad y comed este es mi cuerpo, tomad y bebed esta es mi sangre” con ello, Él, llama a toda la Cristiandad a unirse en un solo cuerpo eucarístico, del cual Él, como Sumo Sacerdote, es la cabeza que gobierna todos los miembros de su Iglesia.
Hijitos míos, con la certeza de estar adorando al Dios vivo y verdadero, unámonos en oración en este bendito día, por nuestra parroquia del Santísimo sacramento en sus 92 años de existencia, para que el Espíritu Santo la siga sosteniendo, y así como la Familia Trinitaria del cielo se ama y se complementa, lo hagamos también nosotros, para que como hermanos, apoyemos los programas parroquiales, la hermandad, la comunión eclesial, y el amor filial hacia los sacerdotes de nuestra parroquia.
Así mismo, pidamos a Dios su bendición para toda la comunidad parroquial de ayer, de hoy, y del mañana, como también para todos los Pastores, Administradores, Vicarios y Diáconos que hemos servido a lo largo de estos 92 años de historia de nuestra amada Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento, y celebremos con Alegría su cumpleaños.
Con mi cariño y bendición les recuerdo que el 12 de junio, recordaremos a los padres y abuelos fallecidos y el día 13 de junio, celebraremos la vida de los Padres y Abuelos que aún viven. Dios los bendiga y gracias por las oraciones que elevan al cielo por mi salud, sus oraciones son un bálsamo que alivia la enfermedad que me aflige como también la tristeza de no poder estar junto a ustedes, mis amadas ovejas de la Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento.

EL SACRAMENTO DE CONFIRMACIÓN PARA ADULTOS

Las inscripciones están abiertas, clases comenzaran en
agosto de 2021. Los candidatos al sacramento deben
completar satisfactoriamente el módulo de inducción al sacramento, seguido de los ocho (8) módulos de preparación, cumpliendo un total de nueve (9) semanas.
Se requiere que los aspirantes presenten los siguientes documentos al momento de la inscripción.

• Certificado de nacimiento
• Certificado de bautismo actualizado.

The Parish of the Blessed Sacrament opens its doors to all those who lost a loved one during the pandemic, and whose cremated bodies have not yet had a funeral, so they can celebrate the funeral with ashes. As a main requirement the Death Certificate is requested. To make the arrangements please call the parish office at 718-639-3889.
SPIRITUAL PARTICIPATION IN THE EUCHARIST
We want to remind you that the Eucharistic Bread
and Wine, the Lamp of the Sanctuary, the Candles and the Flowers used for the celebration of the Mass
in our parish, can be offered for a week. Each gift is offered for an intention, which can be for the sick, in
thanksgiving, birthday, or in memory of a loved one.

ADULT’S SACRAMENTS-RCIA, OPEN
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process for adults, who freely wish to undertake the journey of faith and conversion, seeking for the living God through the Sacraments. Eligible candidates for the program:
1. Adults who have not been baptized and wish to do so in the Catholic Faith.
2. Baptized Christians of other denominations who wish to be part of the Catholic Church.
3. Baptized Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation to complete the Christian Initiation Sacraments.
4. Baptized & Catechized catholic adults who have not yet completed the Sacrament of Confirmation
