Jesus says, “I am the living bread.”
Family Connection to Today’s Gospel
Our faith teaches us that when we gather to celebrate Mass, Jesus is present to us. The bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ. This is what we mean by the word transubstantiation: Je- sus makes himself present to all who receive the Body and Blood of Christ.
If there are children in your family who have already celebrated their First Holy Communion, invite them to share their memories of this special day. If there are family photos taken on this occasion, bring them out and share them together. Adults in the family may also share memories or photos that they have of their First Com- munion. Then read together today’s Gospel, John 6:51–58. Reflect together on what Jesus means when he calls himself the “living bread.” Recall that every time we receive the Eucharist, Jesus keeps the promise he made in today’s Gospel—those who eat his flesh and drink his blood will remain forever connected to him. Perhaps fam- ily members can share what it means for them to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Together thank God for this gift of Holy Communion.
Pray together the Lord’s Prayer or today’s Psalm.

Nuestra fe nos enseña que cuando nos reunimos a celebrar la Misa, Jesus está presente. El pan y el vino verdaderamente se convierten al Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Esto es lo que entendemos por la transubstanciación de la palabra: Jesús se hace presente a todos los que reciben el cuerpo y la sangre de Cristo.
Si hay niños en tu familia que ya han celebrado su primera comu- nión, invítalos a compartir sus recuerdos de ese día tan especial. Si hay fotos familiares de esta ocasión, sacarlas del baúl y compartir- las juntos. Adultos en la familia también pueden compartir recuer- dos o fotos que tienen de su primera comunión. Upcoming Change:
We have made the change to the missalettes used in the Main Church during Sunday Liturgies. We now have Glory and Praise books for English masses. Flor y Canto and Misal del dia books for Spanish masses. This change will help the parish to save money in the long run. Please DO NOT take the books out of the church. To replace the books will cost the parish more money. Thank you!

Farewell Reception for Fr. Augustine Ariwaodo
Please join me in wishing Fr. Augustine best wishes on his new pas- toral assignment. Weeks ago it was announced that Bishop Vasquez has reassigned Fr. Augustine to be the associate pastor at St. Mary’s in College Station, TX. There will be a reception held in the parish hall on Sunday, June 25th between the 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Mass and after the 1:30 p.m. Mass. I invite everyone to please stop by after Mass to wish him well.

Be advised that we will have both the Church Office and all the Church Facilities closed for two weeks for deep cleaning and maintenance the weeks of July 3rd to July 16. It’s that time of year. Please submit your facility reservation request forms for our next fiscal year. Remember our fiscal year is from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Please submit all your dates by the end of June 2017. Please Note: even if your ministry meetings are every week of the year; I need you to list all the dates. This is a way for you to also think about all the dates that you will have meetings or not.

It is im- portant to submit the application, then you have 60 days to take the class before be- ginning to teach. Clerical Endowment Fund (C. E. F.) Prayer Cards: Car ds are available in the Parish Office for a donation of $2.00 or $5.00. Perpetual Certificates are also available. These enrollments make excellent gifts for many occasions.
Proceeds from these donations are used to educate Seminarians for the Diocese. The Fund is also used to make low interest loans to parishes for their building programs. This has been a project of the Austin Diocesan
Council of Catholic Women since 1948.
Father’s Day Cards:
Father’s Day Cards are available in the Church Office for you to purchase and register the names of your love ones for the novena of masses during these special occasions. We have regular size cards for $5.00 each or larger cards for $20.00 each.
The Father’s Novena of masses will begin on June 10th.

Congratulations! Now the next step: To prepa- re for the Sacrament of Marriage; please come to the following orientation. The Marriage Orientation is MANDATORY before you can meet with a Priest. Both Bride and Groom must be present and attend the ENTIRE pre- sentation. The NEXT English orientation is set for Thursday, June 29 at 7pm in School Room 1A. We will discuss the entir e marr iage processes, including the required documents needed. Please come with all your questions.

Sacramental Certificates:
Certificates are to be requested in person or using the online request form on our Church website. We will not take over the phone information. There’s a $5 dollar fee for each certificate requested. Due to the high volume of Sacramental Certificates requested and from the recent First Com- munions and Confirmations Celebrated the turn around time of the certificates will take longer to be issued. You will be

Infertility & Miscarriage Support: Sarah's Hope & Abraham's Promise is a spiritual support program for couples struggling with infertility and miscar- riage. Based on Catholic teaching, we combine the wisdom of modern medi- cine with the healing power of the Catholic Church. We offer a women's Bible study support group, couples healing retreats and prayer services throughout the year.
Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families. Anyone who has built their family through the miracle of adoption is invited to meet with other families to share the joys and challenges of adoption and fostering. The play- group meets once a month in different areas of Austin.
