Dear Parishioners,
In today’s Gospel, we are reminded that humans are not perfect and because of our human weakness, conflicts are bound to happen. How do we respond to conflicts with others in our own lives? It can be challenging but Jesus offers us some
practical steps on what to do. We are called to be reconciled with one another. We need to constantly work at this relying on the grace of God and acting with charity. I officially began my appointment as Administrator here at the parish on Tuesday, September 1. I look forward to my time here and getting to know the parishioners. This past Thursday, September 3, we celebrated Mass the feast of St. Gregory the Great, our patron saint. The Mass was held outside in front of the Ruddy Center. We will now be having public Mass, Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM, in front of the Ruddy Center. We had tents installed this week to provide shade. I invite you to join us if you are able to come. Please bring your own chair.

En el evangelio de hoy, se nos recuerda que los seres humanos no son perfectos y que debido a nuestra debilidad humana, es inevitable que surjan conflictos. ¿Cómo respondemos a los conflictos con otros en nuestras propias vidas? Puede ser un desafío, pero Jesús nos ofrece algunos pasos prácticos sobre qué hacer. Estamos llamados a reconciliarnos unos con otros. Necesitamos trabajar constantemente en esto confiando en la gracia de Dios y actuando con caridad.

El pasado jueves 3 de septiembre celebramos la Misa en la fiesta de San Gregorio Magno, nuestro santo patrón. La misa se celebró en el exterior frente al Ruddy Center. Ahora tendremos misa pública, de lunes a viernes a las 8:30 a.m., frente al Centro Ruddy. Instalamos carpas esta semana para dar sombra. Los invito a que se unan con nosotros si pueden venir. BAPTISMS / BAUTISMOS
Baptisms take place on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:30 am in English. Parents and godparents must attend a pre-baptismal class before the child is baptized. Please register for the class in the Parish Office.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK / UNCIÓN A LOS ENFERMOS
Formerly called “Extreme Unction” or “Last Rites,” this sacrament is to be administered at the beginning of a serious illness or before surgery because it provides strengthening and healing. The Parish Office can help you arrange an anointing.
Antiguamente llamado “Extrema Unción,” este Sacramento se ofrece al principio de una enfermedad grave o antes de una operación para dar al enfermo la sanación y la fuerza de Cristo. La Oficina de la Parroquia puede fijarle la hora de una unción.
