ATTENTION ALL LADIES OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI Back in March, work began to combine the CCW
organizations into one group, St. Francis of Assisi Council of Catholic Women. The pandemic has paused the efforts, but we are prepared to move forward with installation of officers so when we are able to be more functional we will have individuals in these positions. The installation of officers for St. Francis of Assisi CCW will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 5:30 PM under the St. Henry canopy. It is with great sadness to share that Fr. Ricardo Cortez was slain Friday, August 7th. He was the rector of the minor seminary in Santiago de Maria. It was a brutal murder on the
highway going back to the city, it appears not to have been a robbery as nothing was taken. Fr. Don Czapla spent time with Fr. Cortez when we was on his sabbatical. Please pray for the soul of Fr. Cortez and for the sister parish community of St. Martin de Porres.

agosto. Fue rector del seminario menor de Santiago de María. Fue un brutal asesinato en la carretera de regreso a la ciudad; no fue un robo ya que no se llevaron nada. P. Donaldo Czapla pasó tiempo con el P. Cortez durante su tiempo sabático. Ore por el alma del P. Cortez y por la comunidad parroquial hermana de San Martín de Porres.
