Stewardship
Both the first reading and the Gospel today speak of hos- pitality and welcome. Our ministers of hospitality are a most visible example of using one’s time and talents to welcome the people of God. But the Gospel assures us that all who give even just “a cup of cold water” to one of His lowliest ones will be rewarded.

Family Connection to Today’s Gospel
One can tell a lot about a family by the way they welcome others into their home. Despite parental efforts to elicit the best behavior from their children, family efforts to entertain guests are sometimes difficult. Practicing a spirit of Christian hospitality within the family can be an occasion to reflect upon the importance of this virtue. A family spirit of hospitality is a sign of faith.
When your family gathers, ask each person to consider the follow- ing questions about manners: What does it mean to be a good host?
What does it mean to be a good guest? Invite each person to share their thoughts and experiences about being a guest or a host. When they have finished, read aloud today’s Gospel, Matthew 10:37-42.
Ask family members to describe what Jesus says about hospitality extended to his disciples. (Those who receive Jesus’ disciples also receive Jesus himself; hospitality to Jesus’ disciples will be reward- ed.) Then encourage family members to talk about what it means to be a good guest or a good host. You might also talk about ways in which your family’s hospitality might be improved upon. Conclude in prayer together that your family grows to be one in which Chris- tian hospitality is experienced by all. Pray together the Lord’s Pray- er or today’s Psalm.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

From July 3rd—July 16th, the Church office and Faith Formation Offices will be open Monday-Wednesday, 8 am - 5 pm, Thursdays 8 am—12 pm and closed on Fridays. We still ask that you do not hold any meetings during these two weeks. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
Summer Hours:
The Church Office and Faith Formation Office hours are changing for the summer! Beginning July 17th through September 5th, the hours will be the following: Monday through Friday, 8 am—5 pm, Office closed from 12—1 pm for lunch. Thank you!

Change of Missalettes:
We have made the change to the missalettes used in the Main Church during Sunday Liturgies. We now have Glory and Praise books for English masses. Flor y Canto and Misal del dia books for Spanish masses. This change will help the parish to save money in the long run. Please DO NOT take the books out of the church. To replace the books will cost the parish more money. Thank you!

Please submit all your dates as soon as possible. Please Note: even if your ministry meetings are every week of the year; I need you to list all the dates. This is a way for you to also think about all the dates that you will have meetings or not.

Based on Catholic teaching, we combine the wisdom of modern medi- cine with the healing power of the Catholic Church. We offer a women's Bible study support group, couples healing retreats and prayer services throughout the year.
Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families. Anyone who has built their family through the miracle of adoption is invited to meet with other families to share the joys and challenges of adoption and fostering. The play- group meets once a month in different areas of Austin.

The quarterly meeting of the Austin North, Central & South Deaneries Coun- cil of Catholic Women will be held on July 15, 2017 at Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Church 1107 Yager Lane, Austin, Texas. Mass will be at 9:00 AM
