Design and Fabrication of Groundnut Plucking Machine

Groundnut Plucking Machine is operated on the hitting and hammering action. Firstly the inputs i.e. the groundnut are fed to the machine. Then groundnuts come in contact with L-angles. After plucking the groundnut and shells of the groundnut gets dropped from the semicircular net, in downward direction then a centrifugal force is applied on the peanut and shell of the groundnut. Due to more weight, the peanuts gets moved downward and collected in the separator. But due to lighter weight the shell of the groundnuts are thrown outside the machine and which are collected from the backside of the machine. From the plucking chamber the unplucked groundnuts also gets dropped in the tray. This groundnut gets dropped from the clearance made among the grill. The three kinds of the nets can be used with different size of capsule slots, size vise small, medium and large for various size of groundnuts. In this way the “GROUNDNUT PLUCKING MACHINE” works.

The design is so done that the knowledge of designing, mechanism and forces are increased. This project consists of designing and fabrication of an automatic groundnut Sheller machine considering various important parameters. In this project, designing & development of a machine to crush or shell groundnut so the farmers can gain high profit by selling groundnut direct in market. As well as the study of manufacturing was very important in order to carry out this project to ensure that what are needs to do. This project involves the process of designing and fabrication of different parts of this shelling machine considering forces and ergonomic factor for people to use. This project is mainly about generating a new concept of groundnut shell (crush) that would make easier to bring anywhere and easier to crush groundnut. After the design has completed, it was transformed to its real product where the design is used for guideline.

Abstract: Most of the Indian Landis used for agricultural production producing raw agricultural products or goods. Production of Groundnut is one of source of income for the farmers. In India Groundnut is grown on small scale. Price of kernel on average is approximated double the pods price. Due to limited sources for the processing of groundnut like groundnut decorticating equipment’s, is a main hurdle for the effective and economical production of groundnut. Earlier day’s peanut shell was removed with the help of hands of workers reducing the output which did not fulfill the demand of market because of more time consumption for removing the shell of groundnut. The thorough research-work of designing, fabrication, and performance evaluation of a Groundnut Decorticating which constitutes shelling unit, feeding hopper with control flow arrangement, separating unit and prime mover system is conducted and results are discuss further. The machine performance was evaluated in terms of shelling efficiency, material efficiency throughput capacity and mechanical damage. For expressing the relationship existing among the Decorticating performance indices, moisture content of pods and feed rate were formed using regression analysis. The presented paper through light on the manufacturing of various components of groundnut Decorticating machine. In short, the undertaken work involves processes like design, fabrication and assembling of different components of decorticating machine. This work is dedicated to the designing of machine with more production capacity &operating on less power input like 1 HP than manual work. This machine will be helpful for the small and medium scale farmers as well as new star ups by investing less capital.

Dengan penghasilan kabinet ini, masalah yang berikut dapat diatasi. Di dalam projek ini, perisian CATIA V5 digunakan untuk membuat lukisan dan pembentukan kabinet pada pemodelan 3 dimensi (3D). Sementara itu, pemilihan rekabentuk dijalankan dengan menggunakan kaedah Pugh Matrix. Beberapa kriteria telah dinilai berdasarkan elemen- elemen Product Design Spesification (PDS). Setelah itu , rekabentuk pilihan yang telah dimodelkan dalam bentuk 3D dianalisis menggunakan CATIA V5 struktur generatif bagi menentukan faktor keselamatan dan ANSYS bagi menentukan corak halaju dan tekanan udara didalam kabinet tersebut. Kaedah pembengkokan dann kimpalan MIG digunakan bagi menghasilkan sebuah kabinet yang cukup sifat. Kesimpulannya, dengan terhasilnya kabinet ini, ujikaji penghasilan serat nano dapat dijalankan dengan lebih selamat.

It also consists of a collecting plate which is coupled with conveyor belt and chain drives which rotate by the PMDC motor. The collected waste is thrown on the collecting tray. Propeller is used to drive the machine on the river & run with help of PMDC motor. The total electrical devices are controlled by RF transmitter and receiver which are used to control the machine remotely. Recently, the Indian government has launched an initiative known as the “Clean India Mission.” Due to this mission, there is a need for a more efficient and healthy way to pick up the trash in the form of a device attached to a human pedal-powered tricycle. This device will allow the operator to pick up the trash and place it into a temporary storage unit without actually touching the trash. In order to navigate the sometimes rough terrain on the roadways in India, the device must be durable and stable. This manual powered street-cleaner will allow much more efficient and sanitary means of cleaning the streets of India. To begin effectively accomplishing this goal, the team met with a project representative to discuss the project scope, problem definition, design specifications, and design parameters. It is critical that all of these are defined properly so that the device being made will effectively accomplish the goal of the project, which is ultimately to remove trash from the streets of India. With this, numerous factors had to be taken into consideration to ensure that the device is fully functional and operates safely. For example: verifying how the device functions, seeing what the terrain conditions are like, who will be using it, and if it will need to be reproduced by people in similar areas across the world. By understanding these factors, the team is able to better plan for and design the device. Below, the parameters have been separated into different categories with additional details. The team has ranked this in matter of importance to create a clear focus of what key design factors we will be considering when starting the creativity phase of the design process.

The design of a beach cleaning trailer is presented. The basic design principle of a foreign beach cleaning machine was taken into consideration. Apart from the tire and hydraulic hoses, all components of the beach cleaning trailer were made from steel. This study focuses on stress analysis in the ball bearing housing by the finite element method. Actual tests have been carried out in fields. This study aims to report the performance of the beach cleaning trailer. Stresses in the ball bearing housing are calculated by FEM. A stress analysis made using the forces acting on the ball bearing housing showed the maximum Von Mises stress of the ball bearing housing to be 63.0 MPa. The safety factor was 3.94. It showed that it was very durable to use. For the future work, economic analysis should be performed to develop and design a fully mechanized beach cleaning machine. The designed and developed beach cleaning trailer was quite appropriated to be used due to utilizing of local materials, with reel of blade enhancement

So by developing semiautomatic dishwashing machine we can overcome the above mentioned problems significantly.
