The Lazarus Group Needs your Help!
The Lazarus Group provides Luncheons for families after a funeral Mass.
We need more volunteers to assist this devoted group.
Members provide food, such as salads, side dishes or desserts. You can drop off food at the Family center, or you can sign up to help set up and serve at the lunch- eon.
We also have members that come to help take down and clean up after the lunch- eon.
As COVID protocols allow, we will be resuming the Luncheons and need more members to get involved in this ministry.
If you are interested Call Peggy Ryan at (916) 408-0599 or email her:
God Bless all who serve this Parish, your service is greatly appreciated.

From Fr. Eric
To the parishioners of St. Joseph, St. Daniel and St. Boniface:
I would like to extend my gratitude to all of you for the tremendous support, encouragement and prayers you have offered to me the past 12 years as Pastor of St. Joseph, Lincoln. I have always felt a very strong spiritual connection with this parish. I know many of you have kept me, our Parochial Vicars, and Deacons in your daily prayers, and that I am very grateful. Per- sonally, your prayers sustained me in my ministry here at St. Joseph.
As this is my last weekend, I ask that you please continue to pray for me as I move on to my new assignment at St. Joseph in Redding. Just as importantly, I ask that you pray and support Fr. Fredhelito Gucor as he enters his new assignment as Pastor of St. Joseph, Lincoln. This parish, in my humble opinion has always been supportive and welcoming to priests, deacons and seminarians who have passed through this parish. So, I ask you to welcome Fr. Gucor on his July 1st arrival, with the same hospitable spirit you showed me, when I arrived, in 2009, 12 years ago.
Also, I want to offer a very special thank you to all the parish staff and all the clergy of St. Jo- seph. Their support, dedication, hard work and ministry helped make my job a lot easier in ad- ministrating, managing, and pastoring this beautiful parish.
At this time, I believe it is appropriate to welcome our newest staff members to our parish of- fice. They are Ana Barriga, our receptionist/office support and Diana Guiterrez, our bookkeeper.
I believe they are a great addition to our parish office. When you get a chance, come by and meet them.
With that, I would like to thank LaRita Gruenwald, who is retiring as our current bookkeeper in July. LaRita was an outstanding bookkeeper, who easily went over and beyond her position as bookkeeper. Her presence over the last nine years and three months was tremendously sup- portive to all of us on our staff, especially to me. God bless you LaRita in your new endeavors in retirement.
I will miss being a part of the three communities of St. Joseph, St. Daniel and St. Boniface.
Each of these communities have their own vitality, joy, and enthusiasm, which was such a joy to be around.
May God continue to bless you and keep you. May His face continue to shine upon, and may you know His peace, goodwill, and great love and mercy.
Peace and Blessings, Fr. Eric D. Lofgren.
P.S. If you would like to keep in touch with a letter or phone call, my new address and phone number will be: 2040 Walnut Ave. Redding, CA 96001; 530-243-3463.
Journey with St. Joseph Pilgrimage: June 19 – December 7, 2021
Pope Francis has declared this year as the Year of St. Jo- seph for the Universal Church. The faithful of the Diocese
of Sacramento are encouraged and invited to “Journey with St. Joseph” on a pilgrimage through our eleven par-
ishes named for St. Joseph.
Visit www.scd.org/journey-st-joseph to learn more and download a Pilgrim’s Prayer Booklet.
Journey with St. Joseph Pilgrimage!
The apostolic letter of Pope Francis Patris Corde
(“With a Father’s Heart”) declared this year as the Year of St. Joseph for the Universal Church.
In response to the call of Pope Francis, the Diocese of Sacramento is offering the Jour- ney with St. Joseph pilgrimage commencing on June 19, 2021 and ending on December
7, 2021. The pilgrimage sites are all eleven parishes named for St. Joseph.
Journeying with St. Joseph demands a true gift of self because in him we never see dis- couragement, but rather obedience to, and trust in God. St. Joseph is an exemplary fig-
ure for all of us to follow because he took heed of divine providence and guidance.
Pilgrim’s Prayer Booklet
A Pilgrim’s Prayer Booklet has been designed to guide pilgrims in prayer. Physical copies will be available at each pilgrimage site. The booklet contains special guidelines and tips, instructions on the plena- ry indulgence offered during the Year of St. Joseph, and many prayers to inspire pilgrims for the journey. Respect Life Ministry/ Ministerio de Respeto por la Vida
Saving Lives at the Last Moment:
Yes! You can save lives by being pre- sent and praying with others at the very
locations where abortions are per- formed. A group of St. Joseph parishion-

at 916-521-5243 for more information.

Dear St. Joseph, St. Boniface, St. Daniel Communities.
It has been an honor to serve your families and communities for this short time in June. I will remember the joy and the love that was given to me by
you all and know that I will be praying for you all as I continue my jour- ney to Priesthood.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
