En este fin de semana, cuando descansamos de nuestras labores del día, amoroso Padre, oramos para todos los toman en sus hombros el labor humano – en el mercado, fábricas y oficinas, en lo profesional, y en la vida familiar.
Te damos gracias, Señor, por el regalo y la oportunidad del trabajo;
que nuestros esfuerzos sean de corazón puro, por el bien de los demás y la gloria de tu nombre.
Te encomendamos a todos que buscan un justo trabajo y aquellos que trabajan en defender los derechos y necesidades de todos los trabajadores.
Que nosotros los que ahora están retirados siempre recuérdenos que aun somos una valiosa contribución a nuestra iglesia y nuestro mundo por nuestras oraciones y actos de caridad.

Prayer for Labor Day
On this weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, loving Father, we pray for all who shoulder the tasks of human labor—in the marketplace, in factories and offices, in the professions, and in family living.
We thank you, Lord, for the gift and opportunity of work; may our efforts always be pure of heart, for the good of others and the glory of your name.
We lift up to you all who long for just employment and those who work to defend the rights and needs of workers everywhere.
M a y t h o s e o f u s w h o a r e n o w r e t i r e d a l w a y s remember that we still make a valuable contribution to our Church and our world by our prayers and deeds of charity.
May our working and our resting all give praise to you until the day we share together in eternal rest with all our departed in your Kingdom as you live and reign Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We will be having our third annual procession on September 18, 2016 after the 1:30pm mass, as we organized in the past. This is to purify our church grounds and to call upon the Holy Spirit to always guide us.

The church office of San Jose will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. There will be a special mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Church, everyone is invited to come and join us. We will not have a 6:30 pm daily mass this day; Monday, September 5th.

Our Religious Education Programs are looking for volunteers for next year who are willing to share their faith and their time.
No experience necessary. Training is available.
We need people in all grade levels.
If you are interested in volunteering please check the Austin Diocese website at www.austindiocese.org for to submit an Ethics & Integrity Application for Ministry and for available Basic Workshops to attend. It is important to submit the application, then you have 60 days to take the class before beginning to teach. If you do not have access to a computer paper applications are available at the Religious Education Office.

Infertility & Miscarriage Support: Sarah’s Hope & Abraham’s Prom- ise is a spiritual support program for couples struggling with infertility and miscarriage. Based on Catholic teaching, we combine the wisdom of modern medicine with the healing power of the Catholic Church. We offer a women’s Bible study support group, couples healing retreats and prayer services throughout the year.
Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families. Anyone who has built their family through the miracle of adoption is invited to meet with other families to share the joys and challenges of adoption and fostering. The playgroup meets once a month in different areas of Austin.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers
Tuesdays, from Sep. 13-Oct. 18, 2016 (6 days), 10:30-12:00pm,St.
Catherine’s Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd.. The class empowers family caregivers of older adults with a wealth of self-care strategies to better handle their unique caregiving challenges. For more information:
