San Justino, mártir, siglo II Desde la Misa descrita por San Justino en el siglo II hasta ahora, el patrón básico de nuestra oración-culto se ha mantenido notablemente consistente. Cada una de nuestras celebraciones grupales ha convoca- do y continuará convocando de nosotros estas energías básicas:
• Haciendo el tiempo para reunirnos y dejar espacio para otros en nuestras vidas
• Hacer algo juntos que haga que todos sientan que pertenecen juntos (generalmente cantar)
• Escuchar juntos mientras se lee la Biblia
• Estar en silencio juntos (dejar que Dios hable a mi corazón)
• Hacer una respuesta juntos en nuestra oración (recordando a otros en su necesidad) y acción eucarística
• Salir adelante con un sentido de misión compartida para hacer algo más acerca de lo que acabamos de experimentar.
Este fin de semana reverenciamos la presencia permanente y real de Jesús con nosotros en la Eucaristía. Nuestra oración con y por los demás es que todos seamos verdaderamente lo que comemos en la Misa: la presencia viva del amor de Dios por todo el mundo que es nuestro para tocar. “On Sunday we have a common assembly of all our members…The recollections of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as there is time.
When the reader has finished, the president of the assembly speaks to us; he urges everyone to imitate the examples of virtue we have heard in the readings. Then we all stand up together and pray.
On the conclusion of our prayer, bread and wine and water are brought forward. The president offers pray- ers and gives thanks to the best of his ability, and the peo- ple give their assent by saying ‘Amen.’ The eucharist is
distributed, everyone present communicates, and the deacons take it to those who are absent.
The wealthy, if they wish, may make a contribution, and they themselves decide the amount. The collection is placed in the custody of the president (who) takes care of all who are in need.”
St. Justin, martyr, 2nd century From the Mass described by St. Justin in the 2nd century until now, the basic pattern of our prayer-worship has remained re- markably consistent. Each of our group celebrations has and will continue to call forth from us these basic energies:
• Making the time to gather together and make room for others in our lives
• Doing something together that makes everyone feel like they belong together (usually singing)
• Listening together as the Bible is read
• Being quiet together (letting God speak to my heart)
• Making a response together in our prayer (remembering others in their need) and Eucharistic action
• Going forth with a sense of shared mission to do something more about what we have just experienced.
This weekend we reverence the abiding and real presence of Jesus with us in the Eucharist. Our prayer with and for each other is that we all truly become what we eat at Mass - the living presence of God’s love for all the world that is ours to touch. Keep this in mind and consider for yourself what is centrally important and unchanging about our sacramental experience of God’s love for us, with us and through us for our world.

Sick or Homebound?
Lord, thank you for all fathers.
For the new ones, who endure sleepless nights with infants in arms.
For the busy ones, who juggle the pressures of home and family life.
For the steadfast ones, who nurture and care for our special vulnerable children.
For the patient ones, who always seek to forgive and engage with their pre-teens.
For the persistent ones, who cleverly find new ways to connect with their mini-adults. For the father uncles, who step in to
cradle and care for nieces and nephews.
For all granddads, who love and support their precious grandchildren.
For the foster dads that are called to gather and cover the fragile ones.
For the Sunday dads who care for our children and lead them in faith. For the dads who give far beyond their own resources, who overcome disability to cherish and love.
Thank you Lord for all our beautiful fathers. Help us to support them and keep them in our prayers.
May you bless them now on this their special day.

Señor, gracias por todos los padres.
Para los nuevos, que pasan noches de insomnio con infantes en brazos.
Para los ocupados, que hacen malabarismos con las presiones del hogar y la vida familiar.
Por los firmes, que nutren y cuidan a nuestros niños especial- mente vulnerables.
Para los pacientes, que siempre buscan perdonar y comprome- terse con sus preadolescentes.
Para los persistentes, que encuentran ingeniosamente nuevas formas de conectarse con sus mini-adultos.
Para los tíos paternos, que intervienen para criar y cuidar a so- brinas y sobrinos. Para todos los abuelos, que aman y
apoyan a sus preciosos nietos.
Por los papás de acogida que están llamados a juntar y cubrir a los frágiles. Para los papás domingueros que cuidan a nuestros
hijos y los guían en la fe.
Para los papás que dan mucho más allá de sus propios recursos, que superan la discapacidad para apreciar y amar.
Gracias Señor por todos nuestros hermosos padres. Ayúdanos a apoyarlos y mantenerlos en nuestras oraciones.

La Virgen Peregrina
Cada semana una familia recibe la Virgen de Guadalupe para llevarla a su hogar. El propósito principal es rezar el rosario to- dos los días con su familia, familiares y vecinos.
También se celebrará una Misa en el hogar de la familia que recibe la Virgen durante la semana. La Misa puede ser en el patio o afuera de la casa. Mi deseo es que la familia invite personalmente a todos los vecinos que viven en su manzana para la Misa.
Esto es con el fin de establecer pequeñas comunidades de fe que se reunirán cada semana y lograr formar sectores Guadalupa- nos dentro de nuestras comunidades
Habrá tres Misas por semana. Cada fin de semana la imagen de la Virgen se entregará a una familia en San Juan Bautista, St.
Kieran y Sta. Inés.

The Pilgrim Virgin
Every week a family is invited to receive image our Blessed Mother to take home. The main purpose is to pray the rosary eve- ry day with your family, relatives, and neighbors.
A Mass will also be celebrated in the home of the family that receives the Virgin. Mass can be outside the house, in the yard or on driveway of the house. Invite your neighbors.
There will be up to 3 Masses per week. An image of Mary will be received from each worship site, Saint John the Baptist, St.
Kieran, and St. Agnes each Sunday.
