2- Aims (Module purpose)
Understanding the principles of different dosage forms design, and the role of excipients.3- Overall aims of Course:
A- Knowledge and Understanding
a1- Memorize the formulation of different dosage forms, principles of dosage form design, embracing controlled, targeted and advanced drug delivery systems. In addition to the physicochemical principles for understanding the preformulation and formulation processes and the properties of materials used for delivery of biologically active molecules.
B- Intellectual Skills:
b1- Select from different tools the one that can help in reaching final solving of the pharmaceutical problems.b2- Gain the skills for creativity and innovation in scientific research.
b3- Calculate and adjust dosage and dose regimen of medications as well as interpretation, compounding and dispensing of prescriptions

C- Professional and Practical Skills:
C1- Advise OTC medications, tell the patients about the most important adverse and toxic effects of drugs and to experiment and interpret the result

D1- Assess and update his scientific background frequently.
