48 hr/year2- Aims (Module purpose) The course aims to teach pharmacy students the new patient oriented concept of pharmacy. The course also focuses on the duties of the clinical pharmacist and how he is involved in the healthcare team.
3- Overall aims of Course:
A- Knowledge and Understanding
A1 -Define clinical pharmacy and other newly admitted terminology in the field.
A2 – Deal with patients , Take patient medication history
A3- know sources of drug Information, communicate with health care team, and Read laboratory reports
B- Intellectual Skills: B1- Realize patient history and patient chart interpretation.
B2-Make fast access to information resources.
B3- monitor drug therapy, Interpret and explain the impact of drug – drug interactions, evaluate laboratory data
B4-Deal with aseptic preparations C- Professional and Practical
Skills:
C1-prevent adverse effects of drug – drug interactions C2- Solve drug therapy problems
C3- Know drug prescribing for pregnant women , elderly patients and, patients with renal diseases… etc C4- Deal with patients and with physicians, Consult information resources to obtain definite drug information.

D1- Discuss therapeutic issues with physicians.
D2- Deal with patients effectively, Advice patients for the optimuam drug therapy, Give effective decisions concerning drug regimen
