Mission Appeal Weekend August 21st—22nd
The Diocese of Brooklyn participates in the Mission Cooperative Plan that invites missionaries from around the world to visit our parishes and appeal to your generosity for their charitable work. On the weekend of August 21st—22nd we will welcome Father Cecilio Moraga, who is a member of the Society of Saint James the Apos- tle. He will preach at our Masses about his ministry to 200 children with Down Syndrome in the Diocese of Sicuani, Peru. Please be generous in a special collection at all of the Masses to support his ministry.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we prepare for another Religious Education school year to begin, we wish to welcome you and your children to St. John the Evangelist - St Rocco Parish.
We are here to serve your children in helping them to grow in their life with the Lord. We cannot, however, emphasize enough the importance of the role of the parents/guardians as the primary religious educators of their children. It is because of your desire to have your children become active members of the Church that you have chosen to send them to our parish for their formal religious education. Your role of encouraging your children to be followers of Jesus and setting an example for them to follow is indispensable. This is your sacred responsibility, but we are here to help you in any way we can.
The registration fee will be $100 for one child, $125 for 2 and $150 for 3 children or more. You will need to bring a birth certificate and baptism certificate.
The office is available to fill out your registration for CCD for the new year. Please stop by to register your children. Classes will begin September12th. With all best wishes to you and your family, we remain,

Mientras nos preparamos para que comience otro año escolar de Educación Religiosa, deseamos darle la bienvenida a usted y a sus hijos a la parroquia de San Juan El Evangelista - San Rocco.
Estamos aquí para servir a sus hijos para ayudarles a crecer en su vida en el Señor. Sin embargo, no podemos enfatizar la importancia del papel de los padres / tutores como los principales educadores religiosos de sus hijos. Debido a su deseo de que sus hijos se conviertan en miembros activos de la Iglesia, ha elegido enviarlos a nuestra parroquia para su educación religiosa formal. Su papel de alentar a sus hijos a ser seguidores de Jesús y darles un ejemplo es indispensable. Esta es su respon- sabilidad sagrada, pero estamos aquí para ayudarlo en todo lo que podamos.
La cuota de inscripción será de $100 por un niño, $125 por 2 y $150 por 3 niños o más. Usted tendrá que traer un certificado de nacimiento y un certificado de bautismo.
