usic has a unique capacity to transcend cultures and races. It provides a bridge to understand other people through its combined words and melodies. Our new Lead Me, Guide Me hymnal is that bridge from which the entire church can glimpse the beauty and spiritual depth of the soul of the people who composed and continue to cherish these songs of faith.
If there is a song that you would like to hear from the new hymnal, please contact our music director, Vincent Howard, at [email protected] or call 407- 293-0730 ext.1889 to request it.
Yes, Ladies, it is time for us to prepare for our
“ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COOKIE TRAY SALE”
to be held on Dec 15-16 after all Masses.
We are in need of bakers—anyone who can help is much appreciated! The cookies have to be homemade (no cream cheese) and you can drop them off Saturday, December 15, at 9 AM in the School Cafeteria.
The trays consist of 3 dozen HOME BAKED cookies and assorted pieces of chocolate candy wrapped and tied in holiday style. These trays are $10 each and make for a great gift during the holidays.

St. Andrew Ladies Guild Some thoughts on today's scripture
In these times of fake news and alternatives facts, it is so refreshing to hear Jesus solemnly proclaim that he was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. The basic truth is that God is love and loves the world he created so much that he sent his own Son to save it. I ask myself how important truth is for me, and to what extent am I committed to find it and live by it. I ask for the grace to seek and listen to his voice.
‘My kingdom is not from this world’. From the rest of Jesus’
words and especially from his actions it is obvious that he does not mean that his kingdom is totally other-worldly, having nothing to do with matters of this world. He means that it is not built on power-seeking at all costs and on violence, like most ‘kingdoms’
of this world, but on other values, mostly on love, mercy and universal solidarity. I consider how much my faith in Jesus influences my decisions in the concrete world.
Pontius Pilate has gone down in history as the man who put Jesus to death. Yet Pilate did not find Jesus guilty but sent Him to Herod for judgment. Jesus says His kingdom is not from this world but that those who believe in Him will hear and listen to His voice.
Jesus, in the midst of all the noise and distractions of this world we find it hard to hear your voice. Open our ears Lord that we may hear and take account of your word.

Everyone who belongs to the truth
listens to my voice.
