SACRAMENTOS ~ SACRAMENTS CAMBIA TODO
La Pascua lo cambia todo. Al haber resucitado de la muerte, Jesús destroza las imágenes espantosas que persiguen a la humanidad. La traición, la tortura, la crucifixión, la muerte, el entierro, estos terrores pali- decen ante la gloria brillante de Jesús resucitado. El salmo de hoy guía nuestra respuesta al poder de Dios:
“es maravilloso a nuestros ojos”. Hoy es, en efecto un día para maravillarse, para agitarse de asombro ante la resurrección de Jesús. Durante toda la historia de la humanidad, la muerte había sido el final. Sin embar- go, en los Hechos de los Apóstoles, Pedro atestigua que Jesús, quien había sido ejecutado públicamente, fue resucitado por Dios. El Evangelio de Juan admite que los discípulos “aún no entendían la Escritura de que tenía que resucitar de la muerte”. Incluso los ami- gos más cercanos no esperaban esta novedad, la vida después de la muerte. En respuesta al milagro de la Pascua, Pablo nos dice que seamos “un poco de leva- dura” para hacer “fermentar toda la masa”. Todo, in- cluso nuestro propio ser, debe convertirse en algo nuevo. La Pascua lo cambia todo.

EVERYTHING IS CHANGED Easter changes everything. Having been raised from the dead, Jesus shatters the frightful images that haunt humanity. Be- trayal, torture, crucifixion, death, burial—
these terrors pale in the brilliant glory of Je- sus resurrected. Today’s psalm guides our response to God’s power: “it is wonderful in our eyes.” Today is indeed a day for wonder, for gasping in astonishment at Jesus’ resur- rection. For all of human history, death had been final. In the Acts of the Apostles, though, Peter testifies that Jesus, who was publicly executed, was raised to life by God.
John’s Gospel admits that the disciples “did not yet understand the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead.” Even Jesus’ closest friends were not expecting this innovation:
life after death. In response to the Easter miracle, Paul tells us to become “a fresh batch of dough.” Everything, even our very selves, must become new. Easter changes everything.

3. “Think about the things above rather than things of earth.” (Colossians 3:2)
In the second reading today, St. Paul re- minds the Colossians that they have been raised with Christ, exhorting them to “think about the things above rather than things of earth.” We, too, have been raised with Christ. Let us rejoice and be glad!

3. "Pongan todo el corazón en los bienes del cie- lo, no en los de la tierra,". (Colosenses 3:2) En la segunda lectura de hoy, San Pablo recuerda
a los colosenses que han sido resucitados con Cristo, exhortándolos a "pensar en las cosas de arriba en lugar de las cosas de la tierra".
Nosotros también hemos sido resucitados con Cristo. ¡Alegrémonos y demos gracias!

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord At the Mass during the Day
O God, who on this day,
through your Only Begotten Son, have conquered death
and unlocked for us the path to eternity, grant, we pray, that we who keep the solemnity of the Lord’s Resurrection
may, through the renewal brought by your Spirit, rise up in the light of life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

ORACIÓN DE LA SEMANA
Domingo de Pascua de la Resurrección del Señor Misa del día
Señor Dios, que por medio de tu Unigénito, vencedor de la muerte,
nos has abierto hoy las puertas de la vida eterna, concede a quienes celebramos
la solemnidad de la resurrección del Señor, resucitar también en la luz de la vida eterna, por la acción renovadora de tu Espíritu.
Por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, tu Hijo,
que vive y reina contigo en la unidad del Espíritu Santo y es Dios por los siglos de los siglos.
Pregunta de reflexión:
¿Cómo puedo guardar la solemnidad de la Resurrección del Señor en mi vida diaria?
