but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming.” One of the questions asked in the early church was ‘have you received the Holy Spirit?’ ‘We have not heard of the Holy Spirit, how can we?’ We are asked today if we have been born again. Our answer is ‘yes’ as the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us at our baptism. The Holy Spirit fills us at confirmation. And today we are given the promise, ‘he will guide you to all truth.’ We all need guides. When we observe a blind person being safely led by a seeing eye dog, we admire the skill and the dependence. When some heroic action takes place, a rescue from a fire or accident, we marvel at what takes place. A GPS leads people to a destination. Am I able to discover the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me as I live out what I believe? Will I let the Spirit guide me in my decisions, great and small? The Spirit of Pentecost is present among us today. We ask that we allow it to work in and through us.

persona ciega siendo guiada por un perro entrenado, nos admiramos de la habilidad y la

dependencia. Cuando pasa algo heróico, un rescate de un incendio o accidente, nos maravillamos. Un GPS nos guía a un destino. ¿Soy

capaz de descubrir el poder del Espíritu Santo trabajando en mí mientras vivo mis creencias?

¿Permitiré que el Espíritu Santo guíe mis decisiones, grandes y pequeñas? El Espíritu de

Pentecostés está presente entre nosotros hoy. Pidamos que permitamos que trabaje en y a través de nosotros.
