“This is the Day”
It started out rather bleak way back then, an empty tomb! What do you do with nothing? What can you do with an absence, a void? You can’t do anything with nothing. Nothing in the wallet? Nothing in your
home, your heart, your life? That’s what that empty tomb must have seemed like...a great void, a terrible absence. AŌer being with Jesus…
and now not even his body is here! AŌer having walked with him, heard his teaching, been touched by his hands...and now to lose all of that.
What can we do with nothing? Actually, nothing is ferƟle ground…it’s the place where something begins. Remember Genesis: out of nothing came all of creaƟon. The Spirit of God breaths over the void, and light illuminates the darkness, and life comes forth.
Well, we know what happened…we know “the rest of the story”. Easter translates empƟness into fullness, death into everlasƟng life, despair into tremendous hope.
Is there an empƟness in your heart? Your home? Your life? Let us go there, as those women went to the tomb, and let us seek and find the Risen Lord there. May Easter morning live in us...may we feel the Spirit of God moving, and may we be filled with hope.

“Este es el Día”
Ese día comenzó bastante triste, ¡el sepulcro vacío!
¿Qué puedes hacer con nada? ¿Qué se puede hacer con un vacío? No puedes hacer nada con nada. ¿Nada
en su cartera?...nada en su hogar? en su corazón?...o en su vida? Encontrar el sepulcro vacío debe haber senƟdo así...un gran vacío, una ausencia tremenda. Después de haber estado con Jesús…¡y ahora ni su cuerpo está aquí! Después de haber caminado con él, escuchar sus enseñanzas, tocado por sus manos
…y ahora perder todo eso.
¿Qué podemos hacer con nada? En actualidad, la nada es una Ɵerra férƟl...es el lugar donde algo comienza. Recuerda a Génesis: desde la nada vino toda la creación. El Espíritu de Dios suspira sobre el vacío, y la luz ilumina a la oscuridad, y surge la vida.
Pues, sabemos lo que pasó…sabemos cómo terminó ese día. La Pascua traduce la nada en una plenitud, la muerte en vida eterna, desesperación en una tremenda esperanza.
¿Hay algún vacío en su corazón?...en su hogar?...en su vida? Vamos allá, vamos como esas mujeres fueron al sepulcro, y buscamos y encontramos al Señor Resucitado. Que la mañana de Pascua viva en nosotros...a senƟr el movimiento del Espíritu, y ser llenados con esperanza.

We can’t give what we don’t have. Open your heart to receive God’s love, mercy and forgiveness. Then, show the same to others. As God’s adopted sons and daughters, we are made in His image and likeness. As Pope Benedict XVI says, “we are made for greatness.” Let our lives reflect His light to others. Pray to live a grateful
and generous life. Strive for greatness!
We are made for more! We are made for God!
Domingo de Pascua
“...El anduvo haciendo bien y sanando a todos los oprimidos por el diablo;
porque Dios estaba con Él.” Hechos 10:38 No podemos dar lo que no tenemos. Abra su corazón para recibir el amor, la misericordia y el perdón de Dios.
Y luego, mostrar lo mismo a los demás. Somos hijos adoptivos de Dios, somos hechos a Su imagen y
semejanza. Como dice el Papa Benedicto XVI,
“hemos sido hechos para la grandeza”. Permitamos que nuestras vidas reflejen Su luz a los demás.
Rece para vivir una vida agradecida y generosa.
¡Persiga la grandeza! ¡Hemos sido hechos para más!

The heart of Catholic faith is to meet Jesus and his love. This is the essence of the life of a Catholic parish in its many ministries. One of the very vital and vibrant missions in the parish is the faith formation of its children and young people.
St. Agnes Parish in Green Bay is hiring a Religious Education Coordinator for our children’s formation in the Christian life lived out in the Catholic faith. Responsible for overseeing the entire program, preparing and assisting catechists, sacramental prep and events, cooperation with parish and school staffs and schedules.
