RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
The Religious Education Program is open from 9:30AM to 2:00PM, Monday thru Thursday and Monday thru Wednesday nights 6:00PM – 8:30PM. Please call 429-8824 for more information. All sacramental information is past due. The First Communions will be on May 7th and 14th. There will be two different times on both days. For more information you need to go to our religious education office.
Confirmation is on May 21st, 2016 at 10AM. We will have 95 candidates on this day. Please pray for our students. For practice times and dates, please go to our religious education office. The office will be closed and there will be no class during the second winter recess from April 22nd to April 28th. Classes resume on Saturday, April 30th.
Lastly, registration has started. All children attending our program received a form in class. We will have registration after Mass this weekend. Please continue praying for our students. We all need to pray for each other.

On Saturday, May 28th, at the 5PM Mass married couples of
St. Peter’s who are celebrating their 25th or 50th Wedding Anniversaries this year are invited to renew their marriage vows. After Mass these couples will gather with their families and friends in our school gymnasium for dinner. PARISH MISSION
This Sunday, May 1st, our parish mission begins. Fr.
James Villa, OFM Cap., (Capuchin Franciscan) will conduct the mission accompanied by Spiritfire Music Ministry, Mary and Carman Lando. The mission begins Sunday. It continues at 7:30PM, May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Please plan on spending these
days of prayer and peace here at St. Peter and St. Mary Church.

MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA
Our annual Mother’s Day Novena begins next Sunday, May 8th. Deceased and living mothers may be enrolled in this novena. Novena envelopes are in the boxed sets that our registered parishioners receive. Extra envelopes for those who need them are on the shelves by the front center doors of the church.

The Cardinal’s Appeal supports our parishes, the lifeblood

25 Y 50 ANIVERSARIO DE CASADOS

CAMPAÑA PARROQUIAL DE DONACIÓN DE SANGRE
El miércoles, día 11º de mayo, de 4:00 hasta las 8:30PM la Iglesia San Pedro y Santa Maria, con la apoyo del grupo juvenil, God’s TYM, conducirá su campaña de donación de sangre en el gimnasio de la escuela. Por favor traiga una identificación con su foto o con su firma. Coma bien y tome mucho líquido antes de su donación.
NOVENA DEL DIA DE LAS MADRES
Nuestra Novena Anual del Día de las Madres comenzara el próximo domingo 8º de mayo. En esta novena pueden ser inscritas las madres vivas o difuntas. Los sobres para la novena pueden ser encontrados en las cajas de sobres que reciben los feligreses inscritos en la parroquia. En la parte de atrás y central de la entrada de la iglesia pueden ser
encontrados sobres adicionales para aquellos que los necesiten.

Dear Friends in the Lord:
Soon, our archdiocese will take up the collection for
the Church in Central and Easter Europe (CCEE). Many
living in Central and Eastern Europe are still suffering
the effects of living under communism. Grants funded by
this collection are a source of hope to restore the Church
and build the future in these areas.
The people of Armenia face many challenges, and
recovery from a devastating earthquake in the late
1980s and the fall of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s
is difficult and slow. Many children in Armenia live on the
streets because of poor family situations or the need to
earn their own money. The Sisters of the Immaculate
Conception have used a grant from CCEE to fund a
summer camp for 850 children from ages 8 through 15.
The camp is provided for children who are orphans,
live in extreme poverty, or live in poor isolated villages.
At camp, the children receive much-needed rest along
with physical and spiritual support, all in a nurturing
environment. Local and international volunteers help
create an atmosphere of safety and trust while guiding
and mentoring the children. Some of the camp activities
include attending catechetical classes, hiking and field
trips, participating in sports, and acting in theatrical
presentations. While at camp, the children can
experience the encouraging love and support of the Lord
and others.
In order for projects like this to continue, the
collection needs your help.

GIRL SCOUTS-MARIAN AWARD
The national Catholic Committee on Girls’ Organizations created Mary, the First Disciple (the Marian Medal) to help young women (ages 12-15) grow closer to God through imitation of Mary’s life of prayer and service. They meet Mary in Scripture as a young teenager and follow her journey as she becomes a woman and the Mother of God.
The following Girl Scouts from St. Peter and St. mary Parish received this award at St. patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday April 17th we congratulate them: Alyssa Matone, Olivia Stolz & Stacy Frank.

Estimados amigos en el Señor:
Muy pronto, nuestra arquidiócesis estará
realizando la colección para la Iglesia en Europa Central
y Oriental (CCEE). Muchas personas que viven en
Centro del Oriente de Europa todavía están sufriendo
los efectos del vivir bajo el comunismo. Subvenciones
financieras de esta colecta son una fuente de esperanza
para restaurar la Iglesia y construir el futuro en estas
áreas.
La población de Armenia se enfrenta a muchos
desafíos, y la recuperación de un devastador terremoto
a los tardíos anos de 1980 y la caída de la Unión
Soviética a principios de los anos de los 1990 es difícil y
lenta. Muchos niños en Armenia viven en las calles
debido a situaciones de pobreza familiar o con la
necesidad de ganar su propio dinero. Las Hermanas de
la Inmaculada Concepción han utilizado una subvención
del CCEE para financiar un campamento de verano para
850 niños para las edades entre los 8 años a 1 años.
El campamento es proporcionado para los niños

demás.
