OUR NEW RELIGIOUS EDUCATION DIRECTOR!
As mentioned at last Sunday's Masses, we are happy to announce that Sarah Jane Starcher Germani will be our new Director of Religious Education. Sarah Jane will also continue in her role as our Director of Music. In her time here so far, she has made great strides in the development of our music program and has clearly demonstrated her dedication to our Parish. What some of you may not know is that she has also been closely involved in the Religious Education program here, visiting each class weekly to teach our students about the liturgy. Additionally, she has worked with many of the children of the parish in the youth choirs (the St. Anthony Boy Choristers and Girls’ Choir), which she founded and which have grown signifi-cantly. As our official new Director of Religious Educa-tion, Sarah Jane will build on this involvement to improve and grow the program. Sister Montserrat will be assisting Sarah Jane. Please speak with Fr. Anderson or Sarah Jane if you have any questions – and please register your chil-dren for Religious Education classes for next year by vis-iting the Rectory office! Thank you.
NEW SPANISH MASS FOR SUMMER SCHEDULE We are pleased to announce that we have added a Spanish
Mass on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm and are continuing the 7:30 am Masses as well beginning next Tuesday, June 19th! If we receive a positive response from parishioners, we may continue having these Masses. Confessions will be available at 7:00 pm Tuesday eve-nings.

BLOOD DRIVE On Sunday, July 1, The Church of St. Anthony will be hosting their First Parish and Community Blood Drive. The blood drive hours are 10:00 am – 2:30 pm in the School Gym/Church Hall. ROSARY SOCIETY BIBLE STUDY
The monthly seminar on the Bible and Virgin Mary sponsored by the Rosary Society is being held this Sunday, June 17th, after the 10:30am (English) Mass. Please note that this seminar will not be offered during the summer months of July and August. CONGRATULATIONS TO AARON SALVAN Congratulations Aaron Salvan on your acceptance into the Seminary this Fall. Aaron has been residing at the rectory while working at the United Nations awaiting his acceptance into the seminary, he also assists Fr. Anderson at the Masses. We ask that you keep him in your prayers in this next chapter of his life. We also welcome seminarians Joe Ukaj and Jay Aaron Sulit who are residing at the rectory for the Summer!

St. Anthony’s Church welcomes all newcomers! We encourage every parishioner to register and use your weekly envelopes. This helps us know how many active parishioners we have as well as facilitating letters requested by you. We can not attest to you attending Mass if you are not registered and we do not know who you are. Please ask the ushers for a registration card, complete it and drop it in the collection basket or stop by the rectory during regular business hours. Thank you. SPONSOR / REFERENCE LETTERS

THE MASTER STORYTELLER
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is presented to us as the master storyteller. He loved to use parables as a tool for comparing one thing to something else. In most of his parables, Jesus revealed who God is by comparing God’s essence or actions with something familiar to his listeners. In the parable of the mustard seed, Jesus proclaims a marvelous and irrefutable truth. His small band of disciples, as insignificant as they may have felt, would one day produce a mighty kingdom whose growth was initiated by God. The seeds of this kingdom were planted by God and it is God who will harvest the fruit brought forth from those seeds. The extent of the growth of God’s kingdom cannot be predicted. Como se mencionó en las Misas del domingo pasado, nos complace anunciar que la Sra. Sarah Jane Starcher Germani, será nuestra nueva Directora de Educación Religiosa. Sarah Jane también seguirá en su papel como nuestra Directora de Música. En su tiempo aquí hasta ahora, ha hecho grandes progresos en el desarrollo de nuestro programa de música y ha demostrado claramente su dedicación a nuestra parroquia. Lo que algunos de ustedes quizás no saben es que ella también ha participado activamente en el programa de Educación Religiosa aquí, visitando cada clase semanal para enseñar a nuestros estudiantes sobre la liturgia. Además, ella ha trabajado con muchos de los niños de la parroquia con los coros de jovenes (St. Anthony Boy Choristers y Coro de Niñas), que ella fundó y que han crecido de manera significativa. Como nuestra nueva Directora oficial de Educación Religiosa, Sarah Jane se basará en esta participación para mejorar y crecer el programa. La Hermana Montserrat asistirá a Sarah Jane. Es necesario que las familias e individuos estar registrados en nuestra parroquia y utilizar los sobres semanal para sus donaciones a la parroquia. De esta manera podemos saber quién esta asistiendo a la misa como un activo feligrés. Esto también ayuda si usted necesita un carta para ser padrinos o para referencia. Si usted no está registrado, por favor pase por la rectoría para llenar una tarjeta de registro o pide le a los ujieres una tarjeta, rellénela y colóquelo en la canasta de la colecta. Gracias.

UN EXCELENTE CUENTISTA
En el Evangelio de hoy, se nos presenta a Jesús como un excelente cuentista. A él le gustaba contar parábolas como una forma para comparar esto de aquello. En muchas de las parábolas, Jesús revela quien es Dios al comparar la naturaleza o acciones de Dios con alguna situación conocida de su audiencia. En la parábola de la semilla de mostaza, Jesús proclama una verdad
maravillosa e irrefutable. Su pequeño grupo de discípulos, tan insignificantes como ellos se hubieran sentido, un día producirán un reinado poderoso cuyo crecimiento lo comenzó Dios. Las semillas de este reino fueron plantadas por Dios y es Dios quien cosechará el fruto producido por esas semillas. No se puede predecir que tanto crecerá el Reino de Dios.
