Dear Parishioners,
Having celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation and Mothers Day this weekend, we move on to an overscheduled summer period of the parish year. Here’s a basic outline of additional events upcoming :

SPECIAL, ONE-TIME, SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND (MOTHERS DAY): The National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC, known as America’s Catholic Church, is about to mark its 100th anniversary. This collection is for completing the mosaic of the Trinity Dome of the Basilica, a house of worship that entrusts our nation and the faithful to Mary Immaculate.

EASTER FLOWERS
This Sunday, May 14th, is Mothers Day.
A novena of parish Masses will be offered for your special intentions. List them on the Remembrance Envelope in your par-ish packet. Extras are available at the rear of the church.
The names will be placed on the altar for the month of May.
At each parish Mass this weekend, there will be a special blessing of Mothers, and a flower presentation to each one.

HONOR OUR VETERANS
Charlie White, in his retirement, is seeking a hand to honor veterans buried in Calvary Ceme-tery by placing a small American flag at their gravesite in connection with Memorial Day.
He is seeking:
-The names and grave locations of veter-ans you know to be buried there.
-Volunteers who will place the flags (already on hand) on the appropriate graves in Calvary.

El programa tiene lugar cada martes a las 7:30 pm, en el sótano de la iglesia. Brandon
Rey-noso y Jenny Lopez han participado en el proyecto REZEN POR LAS VOCA-CIONES, llevando a su casa el caliz y la estatua de la Virgen Maria, y rezando en familia por mas sacerdotes y her-manitas religiosas.
Si quiere par-ticipar en este proyecto, hable con Inés o Carmen o Angelina despues de la misa.
Hoy (7 de mayo) es el DIA DE LAS MADRES.
Un novenario de misas estará ofrecido por sus intenciones personales. Escriba los nombres en el sobrecito especfial. Sus intenciones estarán puestas sobre el altar durante el mes de mayo.
Durante las misas del próximo domingo habrá una bendición de las madres y la pre-sentación de una flor a cada una.
