(3) Page Three. St. Margaret Mary Parish. July 9, 2017. A Note from the Administrator.... Dear friends, Our parish needs to replenish its supply of servers. Servers are young people --- usually from 8 to 18 years or older --- who help at Mass by carrying the crucifix and candles in processions, hold the book of prayers for the priest, and see that the bread and wine and the offering get put in their right places. Sometimes they carry incense or banners too. Servers need to go through a simple training, and take turns serving with more experienced servers till they learn their skills. They must also be willing to show up faithfully for the Masses they’re assigned to --- which means they have the support of their parents. If you think you might be interested in being a server at our parish, please call Mrs. Martinez at (909) 436-7801. Also, Mrs. Martinez would love to have the help of one or two other moms --- Anyone feel called to honor God in this way, please call her. Peace, All Good!. Fr. Mike. PS On another note, our parish is looking for a wheelchair we can keep handy for people who faint at Mass. Queridos amigos, Nuestra parroquia necesita reponer el suministro de monaguillos. Los monaguillos son jóvenes generalmente de 8 a 18 años de edad o mayores - que ayudan en las Misas a llevar el crucifijo y velas en las procesiones, el libro de oraciones para el sacerdote y ven que el pan, el vino y las ofrendas vayan en el lugar correcto. En algunas ocaciones llevan también el incienso o banderas. Los servidores necesitan pasar por un simple entrenamiento, y turnarse en el servicio con monaguillos más experimentados hasta que aprendan sus habilidades. También deben estar dispuestos a presentarse fielmente en las misas que serán asignados --- lo que significa que tendrán el apoyo de sus padres. Si piensa que podría estar interesado en ser un servidor en nuestra parroquia, por favor llame a la Sra. Martínez al (909) 436-7801. Además, la Sra. Youth Ministry Here is a list of all the fun events the youth ministry will be hos ng on Sunday at 6pm for the month of July: July 9th – No Youth Night Youth Ministry will be planning for future events. July 16th – Summer BBQ and Pool Night Join us for fellowship as we BBQ and swim and enjoy the summer weather.. July 9, 2017. Summer Leadership Training And Sports Nights Leadership Trainings Monday in July from 7pm to 9pm. Sports Nights – Wednesday in July from 6pm to 8pm.. Learn teamwork by traversing a three story ropes course. When: Sunday, July 30th Time: Meet in parking lot at 9:00am Cost: $5.00 per person. Special Events Beach Trip – This year in late August is our annual beach trip. Cost is $10 and the date will be announced in late July.. SCRC – The first week in September we will be participating in our summer conference at the Anaheim convention center. Cost $85.. Throughout the year, the Youth Ministry receives support from many wonderful people in our community. Not only do we receive generous donations of food and supplies, but we also receive a tremendous amount or prayer and moral support. I can’t express to our parish community how grateful we are for all of these wonderful people. Without the prayer and support of the community, we might not have the same spiritual growth we find today in our young people and in our YM programs. Our communities commitment to our young people is strong. The patience and love expressed to the youth in our parish is continually growing, so keep the kindness coming  There is no way to fully express our gratitude, but for all the support the youth ministry of our parish receives, I want to say Thank You! (7) Page Seven. St. Margaret Mary. July 9, 2017. VBS Ministry "Mighty Fortress" has a "wish" list We begin our week of fun in less than a month. We expect July to be very hot! Many cases of water is needed , 8oz bottles please, a ‘Computer (Desktop, or laptop) and Home Depot gift cards. Some of our kids are allergic to hay. We will be wrapping bales of hay with bed sheets and using twine to keep it all together. Needed, dark colored bed sheets of any size (no prints, no patterns) and twine. 600 paper plates, 600 "boats", 1500 "sporks" or forks, 1500+ napkins and food handling gloves. You can bring these items to the religious education office Monday - Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Think well. Speak well. Do well.
